Excellent
I was in church for the Easter vigil a few months ago when some fool got up to read the long creation story from Genesis, and just murdered it with his mumbling. In the back of my mind, I started to hear "There were green alligators and long-necked geese..." and then had a hard time stifling my laughter! I had not thought of the song in years and years. It's all down there though, in the subconscious. Thanks so much for posting this. Wonderful to hear it again.
🤣
There doesn't seem to be talent like the old boys anymore. If there is then they aren't promoted.
чудесная песня
So much of our culture is Irish in origin.

In college long ago watched their show on the Windsor On station . Loved the fun & good music . One time watching it a big pothead sat there in disbelief /shock wanting me to turn the tv off now ! Some others came by full of intellectual pretension laffing at the music they called " plebian" . Another guy who thought he was Malcom X in a huge Afro & dashiki was enraged saying the music was racist .I took it all in stride and kept watching . Over the years have laffed at their foolishness and how good the Rovers were.
You really love belfast❤❤
When the real world before me seems to be covered in darkness, thanks to listening to Auld Lang Syne inspires me to try to find even the slightest ray of light just through the dark tunnel in my heart.
Everytime I hear the fog horn I get chills through my body and it carries on through the song. My hairs stand up and I'm not sure why
Why do i hear a bass, yet there is no Bassist
Magnifique
Such an amazing masterpiece
Nice 😂
I love it.
Brilliant I remember talking to this artist in a pub and asked if he could play that. Yes he did and it was brilliant to as a musician to play something and they did it for you right away thank u

Been listening to the Irish Rovers for Decades. Played the Unicorn on a portable Record Player. THIS is by far one of my favorites. Hey Boys, Thanks For Singing us a Song.
Metallica brought me here
My grandma who passed away 3 years ago showed me the prequel to this song and it's a song I go back to and listen when I miss her terribly.
Love it.
I listened to this song many times on vinyl in 1978 as a ten-year-old in Poland. I didn't understand the words. My parents received a vinyl record from a friend from abroad. There was communism in Poland at that time. I didn't remember anything except the unicorn on the vinyl cover. It was enough to now find the artist and the song on the Internet - now as an almost 60-year-old... Thanks for this song :)
One of my absolute favorite songs as a child! The Irish Rovers are one the best folk bands ever.
Helluva party! Cheers, lads! Rest in peace Jim 🫶🌈
Old now , but when i hear this song it brings me back when i was a kid, as my Grandpa would always play this song on his record player for me. My mind would wonder and believed in the unicorns👌

There are so many Scottish folk songs, all of them are great. Plus it is such a beautiful country to visit. I have very special love for Scotland.
I remember listening to this record constantly when I was very young. Core memory unlocked!
Ye're an armless, boneless, chickenless egg. I gotta remember that line next time I'm in an English pub. Aye!!
This was number 1 the day I was born in 1968 I bet my Irish dad loved it
I'm a 1968 baby also... for some reason this song just came into my head the other day out of nowhere.

I work at commerce bank and this song plays every day at work
"And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere! And gie’s a hand o’ thine!" The song is so beautiful, but these two lines make me weep.
What a great version.
