  horrible brushing technique. You have to brush the shoe, not rub it

  It was shiny already at the start. But these things do corrode from the salt and stuff if touching bare skin.

  We always put the cream on our boots in the army and then brushed it to a mid shine...and then finished it with a panty hose to a super shiny finish.

  A lighter will burn the shoe it’s too much of a risk, a hair dryer is better it will give it more shine but you don’t need too much just a little bit

  Thank you, this is very helpful. However, I recommend everyone to use a piece of cloth instead of a cotton ball, if you want to get your hands less dirty :)
