This sounds like what would happen if someone assigned J. Roddy to write a Roger Clyne song. I don´t mean that as an insult.

Ya know? There are so many great artists out there in a wasteland of corporate-made, cookie cutter pop bullshit. When I first heard J Roddy about 10 years ago, I thought, ‘there is hope for REAL talent’. Since then it’s only gotten worse. You are a diamond among coal sir. Thank you!

Mr J Roddy, is it okay to use a capo for this? Is that what you guys do? Is that offensive? The F and the A# are killing me anymore.

I heard this song for the very first time while incarcerated in 2013 on an independent radio station in Nashville. I would have the headphones of my shitty little radio I got from commissary in my ears damn near wake to sleep JUST so I could hear it again and find out the bands name. 10 years later and I'm writing this comment and this song (Along with several others of there's) is still just as amazing. Truly an underated band. It's a truly exhilarating feeling to turn people on to this amazing band. If you're reading this and hearing this for the first time and love it like I do: Welcome. Finding a new band with such fucking back to back bangers is truly a priceless moment in life. J Roddy Walston and the Business is in my top 30 bands undoubtedly. And again whoever reads this, Fucking love ya dude/dudette. From a brother in music, love Luke. AKA stoney

@@thassarian136 Yeah there really is nothing like it. It's pretty different from their normal sound. They went on to produce 1 or 2 more records after this. They broke up and now J Roddy Walston is the frontman of a new band called Palm Palm.

bet you sick lick forcep and you’re tiny in red. Elevate your tricep you’re a martyr in bed. Sitting on a gold mine, shooting up the old time. Cleaning up the refuse of your plaid shirt and coke lines. Now I’ve been pulling thread doing all kinds of evil. I know you hate me baby but don’t break the needle lady. Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee haw haw, You made laugh baby, you made me crawl. Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee haw haw, You made laugh baby, you made me crawl. I’ve been pulling thread doing all kinds of evil. I know you hate me baby but don’t break the needle lady. Now seven time two equals fourteen, this time is a dime. Do you know what I mean. And I been building friends out of friends that I used to have. I’ve been pulling thread, doing all kinds of evil. know you hate me baby but don’t break the needle lady. Marshall saw a rolling ball, it ran right over him. It’s a shame to have the dead naming off all their friends. My right hand my left hand they’re both no good. It’s black lung like the young, who were dying while they could. I’ve been pulling thread doing all kinds of evil. I know you hate me baby, but don’t break the needle lady. Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee haw haw, You made laugh baby, you made me crawl. The devil had a blister so I knew he had kissed her. And I just wanted to know if the girl had a sister. I been pulling thread, doing all kinds of evil I know you hate me baby but don’t break the needle lady.
