I'm constantly looking for up-and-coming or innovating everyday carry gear. If you've made something interesting or unique, you can ship it to me. However, due to overwhelming demand, sending a product does not guarantee coverage.

Nice Video. $10.99 traditional Zippo is made in USA. Cold Steel $30 SRK make perfect truck knives.
It's 2024 now, update! Gordon 20 in 1 multi tool icon ratchet mini sets etc....?
Didn’t you support Harbor Freight by purchasing that knife!
Fixed blades for EDC in most cases tell everyone you're carrying, They are inherently more unsafe than a folder, flipper, or auto. They are a " trending" fad.
Dude gets in his car and drives 1.7 miles to work in a city…every day. Literally NEVER needs, anything he just showed you..”do I lock pick all the time “?.. just get a pocket knife. It’s okay. We won’t be mad.
Sounds like a lot of projection to me...
The moment you said you had to replace the blade, nah. Screams weak blade built flimsy to break/dull on purpose to sell extra blades.
... Utility blades are widely used and have been for decades. They're universal. 🤣🤡
Having recently purchased 3 manix 2's (Salt,SV30-G10 and a FRN BD1N) I would love to see a Manix 2 comparison !!! Thanks again.
My most used EDC is the smartphone that I use right now
*YAWN* 😴 🥱
Thanks! Appreciate it!
I just picked up the Wera tiny rachet bit set that i carry in my pouch. It's at Lowes for 30$. I personally like it more than the icon, but wish it was a flex head so thats a plus for icon for having that.
Im so poor i dont even know what a camera plate is
CZ P10s, Streamlight USB Microsteam, Benchmade 300 Ball Flipper, Case Russlock, Garmin Instinct 2 GPS watch and a Rolfs Attaché wallet.
👍👍
Truth be told, I didn’t watch this whole video. I skipped to the full description and was disappointed about a name not on your list of so called best EDC fixed blades. You need to take a look at Amtac Blades Northman. Very purpose built, great sheath options, and frankly, the best EDC fixed blade I’ve ever encountered. You hit some cool options but best means something. Check them out.
So I feel like an idiot now. Well, more than normal 😂 But I didnt know about the original Begg knives version of the Icon knife. The only reason I was in HF to begin with was to get the ratchet and bit set and I just happened to see the knife hanging there. Blew my mind to see a knife like that in HF. Im on my second one now because my buddy liked it so much, he bought my original. But I could have sworn the first one had a different style pocket clip because the replacement one I picked up gives up one hell of a fight trying to get it out of my pocket and has a very audible snap from the clip hitting the handle when it finally comes out of my pocket and the first one I had didnt. But I cant remember for sure and dude can never seem to remember to send me a picture of his to compare and I dont see him often unfortunately.
This guy's just sale's you shitty stuff.
👌🏽
Happy Birthday, Taylor! The only disagreement I have is about steel. My environment is always hot and always humid, and often salty too. So I do have steel preferences that have to do with the functional demands of my environment. I'll take 14C28N, 12C27, or N690 over almost anything else, because they are all very stain resistant, take great edges, and are easy to sharpen. In the supersteel department, Magnacut gets the nod over everything else, because it's so stain-resistant.
Comparing an adjustable wrench to channel lock pliers is like Apples to oranges, especially when you're trying to compare a basic cheap adjustable crescent wrench to the best channel locks on the face of the planet, then to turn to turn around and say that the pliers could be used as pliers, like bro do you know what you're talking about?
thyrm came out with a seconed generation zippo case which is better and more compatible
The ford Godzilla 7.3 is a smother ride a little fabrication
Instead of heat shrink use para-cord
i have loved tip down carry since i was twelve years old. back right pocket, spine of blade against pocket seam. didn't want my knife in the same pocket as my phone. or front left if i wanted my dominant hand for a sidearm
Harbor freight is the place to go and put your hand on knock off tool
Manager showed us a box cutter that he put on his keychain so what does he do on the next package? He uses his jackknife to open the box lol that’s just too funny.
Can anyone tell me what watch he has on??
why you you tubers do not say the price it is that you pay on things it is on normal or maybe it is for youtubers.
Definitely need to pick up those pants
If I’m not mistaken harbor freight does have a like life time warranty with all their in house products? Like icon
I would love to see you build another one.
The Ozark Trail multi tool is great for the price. You can beat it to death, and trade it in for a new one. Life time warranty. Plus it has an actual 1/4 inch bit driver. The Gordon is garbage..
like your video. nice shopping list. But the wave remains my edc multitool. and it has a pocket clip and a lanyard ring. 🤓
Lowes carries concave blades made by kobalt, an in-between hook and straight blade. Also homedepot carries serrated straight blades made by husky
New Leatherman clone🤟
My dog watched this whole video but he's a cheap mutt who didn't get me anything for father's day 🥴
Geez...how about a more budget friendly video now?
Most of the items on this list are budget-friendly. And for the things that aren't, I offered alternatives...
There's barely anything in this video that's over $100. Your dad a cheapskate?
Hey man great video. What watch are you wearing?
Premium D2?? Yeah, no. Premium D2 costs a premium. You're not getting THAT on a folder costing $40. What you're getting is cheap junk modern-day D2 that'll shatter like glass in the middle if you use it aggressively at all.
It's a chinese slave labor knife, that's why it's cheap, not because they skimp on steel. D2 isn't top of the line anymore, you can get D2 in plenty of knives under 100 bucks
@@Robert-qm7yi A knife steel doesn't magically transform from a Premium steel to a Bargain Basement Budget steel overnight. Doesn't happen. What you're getting on these budget knives is no where remotely actual D2.
The little Braun light came out something like four years ago or thereabouts, and I bought one for everyone in my family as an extra light to have around, in the car, etc. Bought a couple for myself too. To my surprise, everyone of those lights is still working and everybody talks about how handy it is (these are not EDCers into spendy lights). So it may just be okay for the money, but they've been surprisingly long-lived in my little focus group.
You will have to ask an engineer about the clips
I have been using these forever
Get the 5 inch
The Klein tools scissors are fantastic
I am glad you showed the work pro
Thanks man, but your videos!
Love it, I'd throw a couple band aids in as I'm always cutting or banging up my knuckles and fingers. Also as an architect I have a micro notebook from Pico pens as I gotta sketch or draw something on the fly. Oh, and some random length para cord.
No size limit in Texas on knife size or type… period… bad info… 5 1/2 inch limit was old law changed in the past few years
Always carry your knife with the blade against the seam of your pants. If you can’t move the clip, put it in the other pocket
I’m just getting into knives, and I am just wondering - do all knives come perfectly sharpened or do they all require work to get them to sharp as sharp?
Depends on the maker, and the steel. A good quality knife will come with an even grind and razor sharp edge. Most do not, however.
