Usyk is naturally left handed
In reality, most top fighters are orthodox/northpaw
Tszyu is an all round pressure fighter like his dad and I believe will make Virgil look very one dimensional
great breakdown...i'm a right handed southpaw, also switch to find new options, been boxing for 40+ years...learn to do both, start with a ratio of 90:10 then drill til you can get to 60:40/50:50... keep up the good work 🙏
126 wins and 3 defeats, the rest of squad looks like lomo, lomo looks at narrator 'dude
Because they sold their soul to the devil.

Tank’s so lucky to be in these conversations. His PR is unparalleled, it’s just like Wilder back in the day but even worse. He avoids all the fights he needs to become great, and instead takes the path of least resistance. He’s not P4P top 15, he’s not the face of Boxing, and he’s not had an elite level career up until now. He has to fight Loma and Shakur in the next 18 months, or he’ll never be the fighter his fans obviously want him to be.
You just a hater tbh
Tank resume is solid
And also Abdullah Mason and Jaron Ennis
Do you think it’s a simple detail that as a southpaw the first thing you are told in the gym is get your foot on the outside of theirs. So everything a southpaw does is about positioning. Whereas as orthodox fighters sadly positioning is rarely discussed in the same way. It’s sadly more about grit and determination. Definitely not how I teach at my gym. Position and base is key for everyone
Totally depends on the gym, trainer and the level. But yes I agree positioning is something that doesn’t get talked about enough at times for orthodox fighters.
Watching Pirog again brings tear to my eye 👁️👁️👁️
✨🙏✨
Check out Naoya Inoue's latest match with Nery. He broke him down bit by bit. I'd like to know what is the purpose of playing patty-cake against a southpaw lead hand with your own? Is it a timing or rhythm thing? He does it in rounds 2,3 and 4
Loma is a right handed southpaw but Usyk is left hand dominate southpaw. He shoots baskets and writes left.
Loma is actually right handed, Mike Tyson was left handed same as Oscar dela hoya.
Orthodoxes 👇
I grew up playing pretty much all sports but stuck to basketball baseball and boxing as I got older. In baseball I pitches right handed but batted left handed, basketball I shot right handed and I boxed lefty. I gold left handed. I write righthanded. I consider myself right handed. I don't think it's a right or left handed thing for me it's my foot placement. I'm more explosive jumping off my left leg.
Song name please?
I don't like when people say if you're right handed you can't be a natural southpaw, like your natural stance is southpaw. What are your thoughts on that?
Misconception. You’re dominant hand should be you’re back hand cuz it’s the hand you typically use to knock you’re opponent out.
@@marklopez5328 But that's the thing I'm right handed, was born right handed. But my strong hand is my left, but I'm right handed. My natural stance always been southpaw, even though I'm right handed
This man Boxing Life has a better work rate than Usyk.
I prefer watching righties turned southpaw than lefties turned right. Lefties gone right often results in a very one handed fighter. Their backhand is lacking. Righties turned left land the southpaw jab and hook in ways that true lefties do not
My coach has started to teach me southpaw after doing orthodox for 2 years, it feels so weird to begin with but Im starting to get the hang of it. Since Im left legged my left is still pretty powerful. Really opens up more opportunities when sparring people when you can switch stance, I usually start in southpaw now and establish my jab since its pretty hard with my dominant hand and I am good at keeping my lead foot on the outside, then I swap to orthodox and try to land that left hook to the liver, such an addictive feeling when you land it flush
Micky Ward (orthodox) would often turn southpaw in the pocket, to throw the left to the liver.
There’s hope for the righties. Orthies tend to have better jabs and hooks. Question is can you land it. Floyd had the jab, hook, and str8 while reducing manny to only the left!
This is a re-edit of the original video I had up before. It unfortunately got done for copyright recently. So had to re upload! Any likes are much appreciated 👍
Crawford is both
True! But he’s always been better as a southpaw in my opinion.
Experience. Lefties are used to fighting righties. Trade off lefties tend to be less two handed. Southpaws are cross dependent. Open stances makes it harder to land the jab and hook
This discussion is absolutely enthralling! It feels like delving into a realm of boundless intellect and insight.🍓
So, who's the best southpaw of all time?
For me it's Marvin Hagler
Pernell or Marvin!
Pernell, Pacquiao, Hagler, Usyk, Loma
Hmm... Switch hitters are allowed? I would put Hagler number 1 on the list-but he's not a pure southpaw... 🤔 I guess Manny.
Is this a re-upload?
Yes
Yes original got done for copyright! So had to reedit and upload again
He’s not a Soviet, what’s wrong with you guys????? you understand that’s wrong, stop labeling people by race or fanatic ideals, he’s a Russian fighter who’s an outside boxer and counter puncher that’s it, if you haven’t stepped in the ring and done more than just a strength and conditioning class, watch a fight every once in a while and actually know the fighters who built the sport then stop your point is invalid
Relax we know he’s not a real soviet. But he comes from a school of boxing that was born in the soviet era. Hence why so many refer to it as that. It also can be referred to as Eastern European style as well. But if you can’t tell he that uses a lot of the old ideology’s in his style, stance and techniques from that era. You need to watch more boxing from then to see that he does use it. I do think he has adapted his style though since going pro. And we see much more western Influence now.
Constant movement personified
Maravilla Martinez (Former great Middle weight champion) once asked Nino Benvenutti what was like facing Monzon? He said Monzon wasnt inspiring respect but enormous fear, the kind you know he is aiming to murder you. That was Carlos Monzon in the ring
For your information: Monzon's malnourish infancy cost him to suffer of rickets as a result his tendency to move slowly as an adult. Monzon fought in the time of very tough boxers, perhaps not the most notorious ones (it would have been amazing to see him facing the likes of Hagler) He was the epitome of an assassin inside the ring with an unbelievable boxing IQ. Your upload is truly remarkable Boxing Life
Usyk, Bivol, Terence, Loma ,Inoue
You tell Mayweather this is what a real fighter looks like this is a real champion. Put his record against hagler and then look at the contenders. And then Mayweather can shut up.
Hey Jamie, I was wondering if you’d mind making videos about Roy Jones jr? He’s an absolute menace and I am truly fascinated by his boxing style. Much love brother🙌🏼
Yes I’d love to one day! Much appreciate the support
@@BoxingLife Thanks for the reply champ💗🙌🏼 it’d be a dream come true☺️‼️ Keep up the good work 🗣️
