Both of them are my mains. I usually decide which of them to pick as follows: if I really need and want to keep the oponent away, Villager. If I need better combat up close and/or fishing rod abuses some move of the character (say, incineroar side b), Isabelle.

Link is under rated, his remote bomb creates so many set ups and tricks to bait and trap your opponent it’s not even funny. B tier is a proper rating for him in my mind

Been sticking with Roy since he was upper mid tier in smash 4, and gonna play him until Ultimate is no longer the most recent in the series. He may have fallen from debatably top 5 to lower end of top 20, but people like Kola, Alice, Flow, and Goblin have shown that weaker doesn't mean bad. Six years later and Roy is still my boy

I see so many people be like “I see my opponent roll in a lot but I try to punish it and they still get away”, these players will hyperfixate on one aspect of the opponent’s playstyle and then bet the house on backwards f-smash to catch roll in, when they could have picked something much safer that can cover a variety of situations instead. Maybe they watch too many of those montages where the roll catch works, the MLG air horns blare, and the low-level players declare that as “optimal”

I only wish down b were better. Multiple ways to remove it, and it's not even fast enough to punish certain characters just dashing over it. The only thing it's designed to do!

Hello! So I watched the video and thought it was interesting! I am wondering though if you've ever mained the character or tried him out for a while. There was just a lot of stuff that I heard from you that made me question if you even really know this character. I can understand where you're coming from, but as someone who has been playing Robin since Smash 4 and now in Ultimate, I actually think that Robin is a great character with a lot of untapped potential! My thoughts are that a lot of people would love for Robin to be the way that they want to like more speed, not running out of your tools, but that goes against what the character is supposed to be. A grandmaster. The character might be slower than most of the characters in the cast, but that means that you need to understand positioning. You can't just run in and out. The character might run out of resources, but that means that you need to plan well. You can't just mash buttons. The character might not have Thunder available when you charged to Arcthunder, but that means that you need to read the situation better on what is better to use. You can't follow 1 plan. I also think that because this character is so hard to play. Most people just give up on the character because it requires a lot of thinking and effort to really get good with him. Heck, I've been maining Robin for years and I'm still learning new things! All of this untapped potential is the reason why I keep on playing this character actually! I noticed from the start he wasn't simple and that people haven't figured him out yet, so he actually always feels like a character who can surprise someone if the player is good enough because not many people even understand the character to begin with. At least, that's my experience! I have a great Rosalina main in my country called SOLO and I took a win at a tournament with Robin. I even saw a French Robin called Kimarito beat Homika who also plays Rosalina. I don't think Rosalina was a character you thought was destined to be bad, because you were one of the only people to see it's potential and look at you now! You actually put Rosa on the map together with all the other Rosa mains like the ones I've mentioned. What I'm trying to say is, I think Robin is in the same category as a character that not a lot of people play and might've been seen as not viable at one stage of the game.. BUT.. the meta is still evolving and with that, I think Robin can DEFINITELY rise to the top! And I can feel it! Fun video though! Would love to actually talk to you sometime about this whole thing! Robin might be better than you think if you're open to it!

With the lloyd, i love having someone shield next to it, then dash into their shield and push them into it. They think " Oh, theyre just dashing into me, ill show them not to dis- Drops shield " Then they get death combo'd :3

Heres my issue. I’ve always had mixed feelings about isabelle. Like i feel like shes always had potential to be a high tier if they gave her some buffs like maybe make her a bit heavier, and a few less frames of startup for her grab. And fishing rod which is the one thing that saves isabelle needs some buffs as well. Like it and lloid trap is great for ledgetrapping. Except they have several of their own issues. Like how fishing rod, all you have to do to avoid it is to shield. And it takes forever to put the rod away. Like why did they eventually make it so that the rod doesn’t catch opponents when it doesn’t move? And reeling the rod back in is 46 FRAMES! While shes gotten tons of buffs, she needs just a better grab and a bit more weight to make my girl a secret menace

These are the reasons why I dropped that boy on this head for Izzy (after the Hero patch and onwards)...! She's fun in knowing that I can be more aggressive with her, as well as making new discoveries as I keep play her; Villager on the other hand is more passive and boring, especially in comparison to his Smash 4 counterpart Plus it's Izzy; she's cute :)

I believe villager's nair is faster and hits lower making it a better OOS move and that his side b lets him approach much easier than Isabelle's

No, bowling ball carries a lot of matchups, isabell doesnt kill a lot of the time, and loyd forces most characters to play neutral his way in a situation he known much better

I’m a villager main who use to main Isabelle, i stayed her for a while until switching due to the pressure of people saying villager was better in early ultimate, now since I’ve mained villager since then I can safely say villager is not threatening and it’s to the point where I’ve built my villager to try to timeout some characters in certain match ups due to how hard it is, nair is the only thing going for him since it’s frame 3, Isabelle’s, Slingshot is safer on shield than villagers and if you don’t believe me search it up at ultimate framedata.

Quite the opposite it says that Villager Foward air is -4 and Isabelle's is -6 and for back air Villager's is -3 and Isabelle's is -4

The fact that Isabelle's normals/up close game is better is immediately made redundant by the fact that pretty much any character from mid tier up that can scrap destroys her on that front. Her and Villager are at their best when they camp, and Villager is simply way better at camping than Isabelle. Just allows for a more solid, more dynamic gameplan.

He's definitly not way better at camping. He's slightly better, which is what makes isabelle that much more consistent, because she's not entirely reliant on camping but still does it well. Also, if you think villagers llyod is somehow the deciding factor, then your mind can't be changed.

Can you do a low level one too? I'm interested to see how a top player views low level play. It's like asking a billionaire how much common grocery store items cost. It's interesting to see if they're close or have no clue lol.

Love your videos, Dabuz. I have some advice though: your body language projects confidence but your eyes project insecurity, IMO. You should try holding eye contact with the camera for longer. I think it'll improve your videos and possibly even your life if you start making stronger eye contact with people. When one appears unconfident/uncomfortable, it also tends to make their interlocutor uncomfortable. It's all love though, keep up the hard work. Btw, you're very articulate when speaking extemporaneously. I sound like an unlettered dunce when trying to speak on camera lol. It's an impressive skill.

That nair that covers around the body for Villager is a lot stronger for defense than Isabelle's, it's F3 instead of F5 (as fast as an airdodge) and can trade out of frame traps because of the better disjoint, as Sheik I can fair through her nair and frametrap if they airdodge which is not the same for Villager who can panic trade or force guesses Lloyd doesn't do much but it's generally riskless to throw out despite being easy to deal with, very "why not" option Not saying Villy's a tier better or anything but it's not so simple
