    Great vid. I have this light and did the same mod a while back. I’ve seen several of these vids modding this light this way. Makes me wonder why they weren’t designed this way to begin with.

    I agree on the picks. DIY guy as well, and I brought the Icon picks home, compared them to the orange handled ones and returned them. Only difference was the handle. I do have the 7 piece Pittsburgh picks and they are well worth owning. I recently dug out some grout with a larger hooked one and it was clutch. I have bought every Icon set of pliers except the larger S Jaws (17,21…I have the 12s) and the hose grip pliers. They are great, but they are larger than the old Craftsman pliers I had and thought I would get rid of. I am keeping the smaller Craftsman pliers as well now because I’ve found some of the Icons too big to fit what I’m working on.

    ICON now makes an 'exact copy' of those needle nose 3 position. I'd still get the Snap-On all day though. Check out some Knipex Cobras, you'll love em. That Tekton 3/4" torque wrench goes to 300ft lbs. I was gonna grab that one untill I found out most 3/4" go to 600 ft lbs! Wound up with the Gearwrench as, like you, I needed it for a crank that was unfortunately 350...Nice collection man! Pretty much all a guy needs right there👍

    When the 20% or 25% deal goes on for ITC members, is it off ALL items or just one item? I have been thinking about upgrading too a better brand for my tools also. I already have some TEKTON ratchets but I want some good flex head like you have there.

    You can still warranty craftsman online and they will send you a replacement or equivalent free of charge. Just need to go online to their site, live chat. Most you have to do is send a picture of your tool with part number visible and they will send you a replacement.

    I’m so confused I see so many of these tool hall videos with mechanics wearing gloves I just built a five story 66 units luxury apartment with commercial buildings underneath it took three years never wore a pair of gloves once. Do mechanics have soft, girly hands? How do you expect to manage working on steel motors and cars if you can’t manage to handle a box made up of soft cardboard? And by the way, I started out as a mechanic. It leaves me wondering our cars getting stronger or men getting weaker.

    I recently found one in the middle of a busy intersection and decided to pick it up. Once i did it was roughed up as cars went over it many times over and was surprised to see it still worked perfectly. Banged up but not broken so definitely can say that its a workhorse and you can light up a house with it and lasts forever on high

    I recently upgraded to Icon and have no regrets. Quality & price made it easy to choose. Long reach flex head wrenchs are really great to have. $180 on sale. I'm looking into 90 tooth rachet but have many 3/8 & 1/2 " ones. Guess their great in tight spots but not good for torque. 25% discounts ends tomorrow. I'm 23:05, going to sleep on it. 😂 look into the tool, you can add extension to any wrench for leverage. It's great to have for these knuckle buster bolts. 25:25 The included holders are definitely a bonus for organization. Filled my 5 drawer toolbox. May need to upgrade to Series 3. 37:28

    I have this bag too. I love it. I am giving it to a friend of mine because I wanted the blackout version :) Great load out! Great video... One thought, I wish the side meter pockets were removable, held on with a zipper mechanic, the front pocket I added a piece of hook and loop because I put too much in the pocket and the snap no longer reaches :)

    I have all the normal sized pliers ect. My tools is what houses and feeds my family. But it would be killer if snap on had a 4.5” of them slip joint long nose pliers or is Knipex came up with a 4.5” of their twin grips. That would fit in the Knipex pouch with the 4” mini cobras an pliers wrench. A smaller version of that or the twin grips would make that a killer combo to also fit in the pouch being it has extra room anyway. Every once in a while I’ll throw in the 4.5” snap on slip joint standard pliers. In that pouch with the other two. But either a smaller twin grip or them snap ons would be great, unfortunately I don’t see that happening

  • @AquaTech225
    @AquaTech2257 ай бұрын

    That 7” snap ons. If you actually use tools least for a living. You’ll cross many a times. You’ll use them with the jaws opened up. Hell that was my reason to buying them. Otherwise many other pliers would have functioned the same a could have completed the same task. But the ability that they have them 3 positions is golden

    My tools are bought with my hard earned money. I buy quality as much as possible and I take care of them. Not leaving out in the bed of the truck during a rain storm or left outside overnight. Few trusted coworkers have built trust to borrow my tools. They don’t look abused but used for their intended purposes. My well taken care of tools is a huge indicator to my customers that I will take care of their areas that I am in while repairing what they hired me to repair. How your truck, tools, and you look when you arrive will extend trust or distrust instantly.
