Hey man thanks for posting this! I’m learning more and more about the sample pad as I go. Question: Any tips on getting it to connect to an iPad for GarageBand? I have an iRig with MIDI functionality and currently troubleshooting. Appreciate any help. I have Ableton but trying to use on the ipad.

Hi mate, you're very welcome. I use Logic Pro on my ipad, it's about £5 a month and it's honestly excellent, I've used MIDI through my interface into my ipad through Logic but haven't tried it with the SPD yet to be honest, should work great though

Man this is lame and I remember even some of their PR material stated the SPD-SX Pro could do everything and more than the SPD-SX. If I wanted to cart a laptop around everywhere and manipulate WAV BPM's, I'd do that.

Glad to see I'm not alone. Normal Cajon doesn't have enough subtlety in my ukulele group so this is superb and a greater range of sounds to spice things up. I'm also using the Roland PDS-20 stand at it's lowest with the unit turned upside down like your good self. It works great with the hands despite the fact that Roland FAQs say you can't use it for hand drumming but music is all about breaking the rules 🤘

I'm having trouble syncing Midi from Ableton to the SPDXpro. When I do it via MIDI cable (out of Ableton to IN of SPDpro) I still have to turn on the SPDs click track on beat for it to sync the midi properly. It should just automatically sync the click track from Ableton.

Hello, I have a Roland Cy12 CR which as you know has 2 inputs: Cowbell and Edge. How should I connect it? With 2 mono cables in 2 spdsx inputs? With 2 stereo cables always in 2 inputs? Or with a split cable which on one side is stereo to be connected to an input of the spdsx pro and on the other 2 mono to be connected to the 2 inputs of the cy12? All this always to get the sound of the ride, the bell and the crash in the same devices. A thousand thanks.

Thanks a lot for this video. I'm glad it's possible to adjust start/end/loop points, I couldn't find the info anywhere :) I'm thinking of getting an SPD SX Pro. About recording from pads, does that mean you can resample anything you play on the SPD SX Pro, without being connected to a computer or recorder? That'd be amazing. Does everything gets recorded, like even fx tweaks etc? What's the maximum recording lenght? I'm excited about the Pad Sequencer. At first I thought you could load any sample for each of the 16 steps and repeat onto each pad, then realized it was only samples from current pads, so I was bit disapointed but I guess I could quickly switch to another presets to have another set of pad sequenced samples. Can you have several pad sequencers? Would be cool to have different motifs on each pad, uncluding odd polyrhytmic stuff if some are set to 3 and other 2, etc... Cheers
