I think the lore is metaphora for psychedelic trip. Like, MEDICINE seller is literally a plug of cure to the psychological problems of people and also a tripsitter, who manages to get people through the trip and help them realise many things. That's why visuals are so strange and unique.

Man I really disagree with your take on the 4th Great Shinobi War. I love it more than the rest of the series, even though I love the rest of the series too. But by the time Naruto merges with Kurama and they become friends the show takes everything to another level. It gets so good it is actually my favorite section of any shonen ever. Better than Marineford, better than York New City, better than Shibbua. It is peak shonen, peak anime, peak fiction, providing you cut out the filler, most of the filler, some of that filler is really good too.

Him binging with 2020s mindset made him dislike it more. I find that people get bored faster if things dont constantly progress. If they do then the series wouldn't be as long. he watched 75 hours aka about as much as watching AOT twice...they didnt like stuff that amounts to this was a weekly series and cant modernize and it has to be animated so yes they use time savers aka reexplaining stuff. Reactors react that way too all the while screaming that nothing makes sense cause they forget plot beats lol...i just think modern shonen needs to be tiktok fast and sadly its at the cost of workers while people complain workers work too hard...so 6 chapters per episode while saying one piece is peak for going on for so long, when no series can pace out 1000 eps when you do 6 chapter pacing that people demand these days. One piece modern paced would be as long as naruto.

17:17 part one is far more consistent than part two. That’s not debatable. Part one is one of the most consistent anime’s I’ve seen. And I’ve seen a few. It’s really good. But I prefer part two because it has higher peaks. And a lot of them. Sure the war arc is a bit of a mess but it has so many Chad moments, top tier stories within those numerous flashbacks, that it is worth going thru the weaker episodes. And the Kagyua reveal is so over hated, I just don’t get it (the hate, not the reveal). I thought the Kagyua reveal was awesome because with Madara it all was a fluke. But with Kagyua it was a well plotted plan. It makes everything fit together brilliantly. I hope it becomes one of those stories that gets re-evaluated over time and eventually adored, as I adore it.

I found out about this series by pure accident of the scene from the last episode with the girl who had the hiltless sword vs Shichika and thought it was so damn funny and looked so unique that I had to check it out. Easily one of the best things I've watched in ages, and episode 4 is one of my favorite episodes in any anime ever.

I’m somewhat surprised that you didn’t mention the predecessor of Mononoke, which was the third arc of Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales: _the Bakeneko arc._ That particular episode is in my opinion, the very best of them all.

Naruto is when the plot is the actual messy asf, but having a good charming on character design, places, and osts. Well, i don't care how fucked up naruto plot was, it was really good anime and biggest part of my childhood. I knew Kishimoto wasn't ready for a big deal with anime community while he was focusing himself on Naruto since Naruto was born. Naruto got booming for whatever reason back then, if you were him, you must get shocked for being popular instantly. That's why he intensionally made Naruto and didn't care how bad and messy the Naruto's plot was, it's for his fans.

Sasuke isn't an edgy pretentious prick. I'm tired of people not understanding that trauma Forces you to grow up faster than normal. So the reason Sasuke looked down on others is because he was mentally ahead of them it's like putting a 5th grade student in a class with 3rd graders and literally no one in the village could relate to how Sasuke felt. The Uchiha were discriminated against and forced to live in the outskirts of the village. Sasuke grew up in that environment knowing that his very hometown didn't fully trust his clan so he felt disconnected from the village and its people. But I'll admit I didn't like Sasuke once he started to go crazy
