    with AMDs FSR 3.1 out and horizon forbidden west got patched I made my old GTX 1070 playable at 1440p. using FSR 3.1 upscaling at performance preset, AMD framegeneration on and a combination of medium settings the game played at mostly above 60 fps and looked and felt quite good. Would be nice to see you retest this RTX 3060 with AMDs framegen in new horizon forbidden west

    Frame Gen tech consumed the Vram. If you try over 12 Gb models you get an absolute performance on a demanding area. 12 GB vram is struggling on demanding areas for ex horizon, ghost of Tsushima etc. 4070 powerful gpu but it will enough for 1080p for incoming years and don't recommend. If you wanna 1440 p gaming for future get a 4070 ti super or above. Great video btw nice conclusion.

    UE5 games look great but, not that great to be using up so many resources. I think UE5 game devs are collaborating with AMD/Nvidia engineers to cause early obsolescence. AMD 8800XT is coming in Jan 2025 and the 7800XT becomes 1 year old Sept 2024. Almost a one year upgrade cycle, just what we were warned about.

    Ray tracing is expensive to run in any game. Turn it off and the game will perform well. But this kind of game requires as much realism as possible to maximise immersion. Hellblade 2 is very impressive visually.

  • @bodasactra
    @bodasactra22 сағат бұрын

    @@theivadim Agreed but, baking in software based features that are just as demanding as hardware based RT without the ability to turn it off is where this issue lives. A 4070/7800XT should be getting better than 50-80 fps at 1440p high on average in current game. Not so for new UE5 offerings unless using up scaling, frame generation, or both. Brand new $500 GPUs can't do 1440p high in UE5 raw rasterization at 90 fps but, you can bet the house the next gen GPUs can, at least for a year.

  • @theivadim
    @theivadim10 сағат бұрын

    I think we're seeing preparations for the next-gen GPUs launch. Game devs begin to set the highest graphics preset at a level expected to be playable on the upcoming RTX 5070 and RX 8800 XT alike. While current-gen GPU owners are expected to either use more aggressive upscaling or lower graphics quality. Do you believe in future-proofing a game? So that it can be enjoyed using higher graphics quality at a later date?

    Listen you can game on most games in 4k with the 4070 and 4070 super. Mainstream media makes some think they cant. Due to showing off maxed settings with ray tracing and more. Im sry but 4k gaming at high is pretty much as good as ultra. Coming from a 4080 super owner! I also own a 4070 super and it is beautiful and in a perfect spot. I only got this purely due to sim racing and vr to give me that slight edge. But im telling you nornal gaming 4070 super gamed on everything I played in 4k. Legit everything. It even got 90fps in acc with epic settings. Dont listen to mainstream showing off only ray tracing as if you jusy cant game in 4k. Gaming in worse case scenarios doesnt make it a none 4k gaming machine. 4k high is absolutely 4k gaming and enjoy guys. If you then add dlss you can use ultra on every single game out without ray tracing and enjoy it. Just saying you have optiona for a reason im tired of the whole oh its not 4k if its not ultra. No it wasnt that way woth 1440p. Or even 1080p people didnt go oh I had to do high settings so its not a 1080p card. Haha. Its sad the way we test these things. The way mainstream media makes it seem. Get the card enjoy and be shocked by it. I hope this new phase of testing ends. We need to go back to testing medium high and ultra to show people truely what they can get. We are at the point alot of these gpus play 4k and again any card that can do 4k high is a 4k gaming gpu imo. You can then add dlss and yes not native but still better then 1440p native.
