    Only in the south would they make a navigable river private property! Disgusting what has happened to this country! The people who scream about losing their freedoms the most are the ones trying to take away everyone’s freedoms! The real enemy of America are not immigrants or gays or librarians but the wealthy who live by a second set of rules for themselves!

    Georgia: Georgia’s definition of “commercial navigation” gives private landowners more rights than boaters or anglers. In Bosworth v. Nelson in 1930, Georgian courts ruled, “If the . . . owner owns upon both sides of the stream, no one but himself may come within the limits of his land and take fish there and . . . his rights to the fishery are sole and exclusive.” Translation: unless you have permission, no boating, no swimming, no wading, and no fishing on rivers and streams in Georgia even if they are considered navigable. I was shocked to find this out! Georgia is different. If that man owns both sides of the land you need his permission not only to fish, but to even travel through. Crazy stuff!!!

    I live and fish lakes/rivers in Arkansas. My understanding of the law here, if you can navigate on the water to where you are you can fish or hunt. That includes flooded land. I have seen other videos of people fishing on lakes and the property owners telling them they cannot fish around their docks. Some property owners are just snotheaded ignorant karens. 👍😁

    Family will shout it's their fishing rights only, their property rights.....up until there is a issue and then they are filing for federal and state grants or for conservation groups to come in and financially assist. .....but its Waycross, GA. Company I used to work for had a facility there. Constantly having issues because the employees would not flush toilet paper since they didn't think the plumbing could take it so used toilet paper piled in the corners of the stalls. Had to put safety set up on the tractors used for towing since a employee cranked a tractor up one day standing next to it with it in gear and ran over himself. Another issue, guy working under a weight load decided to lay on top of a hydraulic lift jack meant to lift that load so it was more comfortable. Co-workers decided to lift it without checking to make sure the area was clear.....stopped when they heard screaming. Lowered it and didn't hear anything so they lifted it back up. Yeah, he was dead. Never been to Waycross, but hearing stuff like that every other week.....

    It’s absolutely gross when people can take natural resources as their own. I get ponds on private property but a river with water that flows continuously should belong to we the people. It doesn’t give anyone the right to litter or abuse it. If people or corporations can own rivers, our system is more broken than I realize. Sorry for the rant but fishing and outdoors are my life.

    I still don't get all these renaming the same species fish in different locations lol. A red eye bass is a red eye bass. They've always had variations in patterns, eyes and even with some variations with color scheme during different times of the year. No different than any other species of bass lol. They've been doing the same with spotted bass 😂 they don't have a dozen names and are a dozen different species they are the same species of bass and that's biologically speaking lol.

    You have no idea what you're talking about lmao. Aside from differing genetically, they look different, grow at different rates. Some even migrate and reproduce differently. There's lots of resources out there to educate yourself with before making a comment like that.

    @@therivergiveth I have no idea what I'm talking about?? 😂 when you're the one spitting stupidity into the world. Growth votes down to many factors including food sources, area in which the species is located (a smaller body of water will prohihibit larger growth and visa versa). Btw I worked side by side with a fresh water biologist for 4 years. Stop believing everything you read on Google or hear from a local that just wants to have something special in their area. He said in the video he's fishing for Tallapoosa bass (Tallapoosa river and its drainages) a Coosa drain off (Coosa river) that would be completely impossible if they wasn't the same red eye species that found everywhere that red eye bass exist and breed. Facts are facts and they are 100% the same species of fish and have been since they was discovered before our time here on this earth. So take that else where because i actually have studied the species and know better.

    @blind_eye_fishing 🤦‍♂️ Please tell us this freshwater biologist you "worked side by side" with. Because he needs some refresher course if he had you believe all black bass species are the same. I mean I'm not even going to engage in an argument if you're this ignorant on the subject.

  • @blind_eye_fishing

    @@therivergiveth did I sat all black bass species no I didn't moron. I said red eye bass are red eye bass, spotted bass are spotted bass. There is no such change other than name like Coosa bass or Tallapoosa bass. It's bull. Here's you one, I'm a white guy born in amaerica, I hold the same biological scientific proven species Identifiers as all other white people. White people have 5 different eye colors, 4 or 5 different natural hair colors, some are short, some are tall and all are still just white people. See how stupid your analogy of bass species being so different is actually lol smh. Spotted bass live in many states of the south and all have the same biological breakdown they are the same fish. Red eye bass is the same way. Large mouth bass are just large mouth bass as well not different species but small variations in the strain that makes them bigger, more aggressive or lazier. That's all biologically proven by 100s of fresh water biologist. Until you've actually studied fresh water biology and or the actual fish themselves shut up and walk away. Just so you know I live in the area of these so called fish and they was a main focus of study for me and my biologist friend. Who studied many species of fish and other variations of aquatic life at auburn University which has one of the largest facilities for doing so. Now good bye until you have some actual facts that's not Google.

  • @blind_eye_fishing
    @blind_eye_fishingКүн бұрын

    @@therivergiveth just so you know the biologist graduated top of his class and has a PhD in freshman water biology. He also spent almost 40 years in the field. I'm sure he knows more than you'll ever know. Ignorance is on your side and you can actually fix that maybe but you'd need a little intelligence and the ability to pick up books and study. Not use falsehoods from Google that's mostly wrote by ignorant people or those that's trying to get famous by supposedly finding a new species of fish. There hasn't been a new fresh water species found well in probably a 100 years or longer. Not in the US anyway. There has been a few in river in jungles and other locations of the world though.

    for almost $3k, i can get a decent jon boat and a 9hp motor. Even that will still cost less. For me, if i need a trailer for the kayak, I'd rather just take the boat. one of the reason i don't invite some people to go kayak fishing with me anymore in smaller rivers (without a boat launch) is because I have to help them carry their heavy ass kayaks like 50+ yards to the river bank..

    It depends on the water. I don’t understand why this is so difficult to understand. If you can’t float the entire water way and have to get out of your floating device then the property owner has a right to not allow fishing. No one owns the water but they do own the land under the water. Trespassing laws are a good thing and so is the second amendment.

    It definitely is legal to fish the river and that homeowner doesn't know what he's talking about, I would call fish and game to go with you or find that homeowner that is one of worst fines in my state you can get for harassing fisherman or hunters. Generally in most states the waterways are to the 100-year high water mark and where that is I don't know But if there's water touching the ground you're allowed to be in the water in the homeowner has control of the ground. I had an issue with this with a area adjacent to a river that had a big sandy beach on it and at night canoers and kayakers would pull up on that beach and light fires and stuff like that, it didn't take but one trip for the game warden to write about 10 $400 tickets and that ended that problem real quick.

    That law grinds against already established law pertaining to "State waters". The state of Georgia already has a law that says any and all water that will eventually end up in a river is State waters. That law was created to protect the rivers from silt flowing into them and causing them to fill up with sediment that has to be dredged so larger vessels can navigate the rivers. Tax dollars and fishing license revenue go towards managing Georgia's fisheries should mean the fish belong to the people. I can understand the landowners controlling who has access more than them saying the fish belong to them. My suggestion would be to dissolve those old landowner agreements and start treating waterways like a roadway. If the government can exact eminent domain as a basis for controlling land for roads, then, certainly they can do it with streams and rivers. The landowners can create all the boundaries they want on land to stop individuals from leaving the water to access their property, unless an emergency occurs. Either way, the state of Georgia has a big fight on its hands.
