bravissimi, ma questo tifo da stadio mi urta..gli italiani se non urlano non son contenti, almeno aspettare alla fine dell' esecuzione, soprattutto per rispetto degli atleti e per la loro concentrazione

He was 67 at the time he gave this seminar, in 2013. Unfortunately, he passed away two years later, in 2015. He was indeed an outstanding teacher, athlete and person.

Normally I don't like "spectacularized" Karate, but this was truly fantastic. Takes demonstration up to a whole other level.

His demonstrations of these Shito-Ruy katas are absolutely convincing. And tell how difficult it is to perform all movements correctly. With power and precision. Pure art and skill. Although bunkai applications make sense, most of them have no use in real self defense and fighting situations, like in street fight. But its good to keep alive this great karate tradition. By kata competitions and in training dojos. When training karate, everyone learn a lot. Of themselves too. And some discipline too, although nowadays it need to be teached differently than before.

His hip use, extension and power production, is great to watch. And learn too. This is a very nice classical kata, with one leg stances from the roots of Okinawan karate. Shito ryu style has many good katas in their repertoire.

looks like krav maga either than ninjitsu. Ninjitsu is more joint locks and manipulation the body from oncoming attacks, but if they are combining the two which is good too. kinda of get the best of both worlds stand up game and subduing a person on the ground.
