Steiner had two rubbish drivers forced upon him. HAAS was struggling and needed the money, but they were so bad with crashes that they weren't even worth it for that. Mick wasn't good, he broke a car in half in Monaco, if Nikita hadn't of been there spinning his car every race it would have been clearly obvious.

Mick was inconsistent at Haas, because a) he drove the 2020 car without any upgrades in 2021 (it was a dog); and b) the 2022 Haas was unreliable & inconsistent... and Mick only got upgrades weeks or months after Kevin (even then, he regularly outperformed his teammate in the second half of 2022). World Endurance cars and driving style is a very different beast compared to razor sharp reflects and driving skills of a top notch F1 driver. Both are not Mick's strongest skills. He'll crash or collide with other cars and barriers on a pretty regular basis. Mick will be an expensive risk for any F1 team.

When I get to be King of the World, I will arrange it so that *anybody* can field a Formula One race team... but only the top 20 cars in qualifying will actually get to race. Then, those 20 cars will be placed on the starting grid in inverse order of drivers' points standings. Now *that* would produce some interesting racing.
