Hi All
My name is Carrie & I began exploring the world of junk journaling in Oct. '22. I never thought I was artistic. I had tried a variety of crafts over the years but I made the mistake of comparing my artistic attempts to other people's works & because of that I failed miserably.
The junk journaling experience has changed my view of art & my artistic abilities. This new adventure was so significant for me it made me want to document my journey here on KZread. Never in a million years did I think I would be videoing my efforts for social media!
What I didn't know, but soon came to realize & appreciate, was just how accepting, kind & encouraging the junk journaling community is. It is because of this community that I want to continue to grow this channel & share my perspective as a newbie. I also want to find other newer creators and promote and support their channels as well.

Hi Celeste - Thank YOU so much for watching❤️ I am enjoying this little machine! In fact I have some ideas for creating some composition type notebooks using children's books. What does the music sound like? I'm not familiar with that genre/style.
Um it's really hard to describe because it is so unique. But it's generally upbeat and happy, fast tempo. Sometimes they have accordion's sometimes not. The lyrics can be anything and everything usually. It's like Gumbo but in music⚜
It's just fun! I also like hearing the djs.

The rose bush featured at the end of your video - is that in your garden? It is gorgeous, and I bet it smells great too! What a wonderful Edith Holden inspired journal you've made, Carrie. I love the embossed, scalloped-edged floral stationary pages you've included in pockets throughout the journal. I love the flashcard with the little girl dressed in pink and the #9 at the bottom. The fact that you kept the pages of the book in their original size and orientation is a bonus. I prefer that to folding pages - so the smaller size of this particular version of Edith's book lent itself well to this project. There was something so appealing about that old postcard with the staircase & chandelier. I hope the new owner of the journal will appreciate it as much as I do. There are so many beautiful dangles hanging off the lace-edged pages. Love them! Great flip through.
Stephanie thank you so much❤ Oh My Goodness you have made my heart smile with this detailed compliment. That isn't my rose bush unfortunately. It is lovely though. The person that this went to is absolutely in love with her journal. She said to me "Every time I open this book to go through it I discover new things". Isn't that so lovely? I want to make more Edith Holden month journals now and I may....I just have more ideas than time at the moment, LOL!

Fantastic Carrie! I love the journal so far and the ephemera turned out really cute! Maybe for the 2x2 page you could staple the strip to the side of a page to make it secure. Just a thought. Crafty hugs 🤗 teri
