    I do have a few more, but haven't yet got around to recording their pronunciation. I don't think I got all 8 modules' units done as a sentence builder though, and now we're gearing up to teach to a new exam so I'll have to focus on making classroom resources for that ;) Is there a particular area you need this for?

    Thank you! Have you talked to your teacher about what your priorities must be to get up in grades? My guess would be verb forms - use them accurately and in different tenses - and then include opinions, connectives and have an accurate syntax, but that's just because these are the common mishaps we meet. Without knowing you and your work I can't really help, though I can certainly try to do more of these sentence builders and matching videos! Keep it up and don't forget to have fun as you practise, that will help. Bon courage !

    Accents in French*

  • @theronckster7796
    @theronckster77962 жыл бұрын

    @@mrtrolly4184 Not random at all! I'm from up north, near Dunkirk, which is close to the Belgian border and by the North Sea. I'm told my accent is close to Flemish (from the Flanders, which overlap France and Belgium), though of course I did not realise it until someone from Bretagne told me. There are accents in all the different French-speaking countries, both between them and within them, and also dialects, as in certain words as used in one region (in the North we say "wassingue" for a mop, elsewhere they'd say "serpillère", for instance). I'm not sure they really would match different English accents but as far as I know every language used across a whole country will have regional variations, both in terms of accent and lexicon. I hope that answers your question! Thank you for asking :)

  • @mrtrolly4184
    @mrtrolly41842 жыл бұрын

    @@theronckster7796 thank you for answering 😀 that's pretty awesome, I knew Germany had a big variety of accents so I assumed France was the same, go figure. Also what I meant to ask was if two French people learn English but are from very different parts of France will their English sound different?

  • @theronckster7796
    @theronckster77962 жыл бұрын

    @@mrtrolly4184 Good question! I don't know. I know I was told, in my first year, that my friend from Bretagne and I spoke English differently - they found her English sounded more poetic and elegant! I don't know if it was down to where we came from or our teachers. I learnt English with a plethora of teachers, some French trained in the UK, some French trained in the US, some Londoners, Welsh, Irish, Scottish, American... Every year it changed. So I guess it has made my English quite patchwork-like. My colleague from Normandie sounds different from me in English but not much in French, so I'm tempted to guess it's down to how we learnt and with whom? I had a few colleagues from Italy who said Italian also has accent variations, and like in France the northern accent seems to be rather disliked elsewhere :(

It's been massively popular and as I don't work out enough, especially now that I'm not allowed to move around the classroom, I wanted to give it a go but it wasn't for me. If you search "PE with Joe" on youtube you should find videos!
