After 17 years of working hard as a restaurant manager, I had enough! Enough long hours, late nights, and time spent away from my family. So I came up with an idea. A way to escape it all so I could do the things I really wanted to do with my life... create quality memories, leave a lasting impression on those I meet, and travel the country on my own terms.
So we made a drastic decision in order to change our circumstances. We made plans to sell our house, quit our jobs, buy an RV, and hit the road. Now we live in one 300-square-foot RV with 3 people, 3 cats, and 3 dogs... You know this is going to be a fun ride!
And you are welcome to join!
I hope to inspire you to begin your own epic journey by giving you a sneak peek into ours.
Let's get out there and explore!
I'M OUT!

I got hit by the northeastern eyewall of a category 3 in a camper and the close to it in a category 2. Over 100 mph gusts for a good while in the park I was at. Wheels lifted a few inches several times in the worst one. Pretty small camper too. I'd probably leave if I was gonna be in the worst section of a category 3 again but if I'm like 100 miles away or even less from the eye I'm cool as a cucumber. Been watching these things come towards me my whole life I've got like an extra sense for where they'll go and how bad they'll be. I don't play games with tornadoes though if there's an outbreak I'll drive 30 miles to a big concrete building and sit for hours and watch.
❤ I love watching y'all. I lived in FL all my life. Hurricane's are no fun.
I rode out three typhoons (that's what they call hurricanes in the Philippines) but in a solid brick building, I'm so glad you guys came through okay.
Well now the neighbor can run around collecting all the broken parts to his out door set up and dispose of it … Then go pay for all new things and set it all back up again 😊.
Too much yapping for me!!!

This is the most sensible and clear description of what to do in an RV. I just subscribed... enjoying all your videos
Thanks so much! We’re glad you are enjoying the videos. Thanks for subscribing ☺️
Let me guess you didn't read the manual 😄 great video. Congrats to your wife on the new bike👍
What’s a manual 🤣🤣🤣 That would be a hard no lol. We figured out most of it as we went along. Thanks! I’ll be sure to pass along the congrats for you.
@@traveling9 I hate to admit it, but I don't read those things either, don't tell nobody I told you guys that 😅
@@hatorihanzo803 😂🤣😂 your secret is safe with me 🤫
@@traveling9 I appreciate that 🙏🏻 I look forward to seeing some videos from you guys going to California. Your definitely going to love Southern California. Also Salt Lake City Utah is amazing.
yall look all cozied up there...
Lol, we tried. Gotta stay comfy when all you can do is sit and wait.
well you know the RV is leakproof now!.. Rode out a hurricane in Ocala FL back in late 90s in a semi... placed our truck in a way that the way wouldn't make it rock... didn't make much of a difference... Not an experience i want to repeat
The rocking is one thing we could have done without as well. Even though we appreciated the experience, we vowed that once was enough… then Hurricane Nicole came a knocking and we did it all over again 😂 We recorded and posted that experience on this channel too.
Hilarious vlog, your probably the only one that can make hanging out in a dealership parking lot seem fun👍
😂😂😂 Thanks for the compliment and the positive vibes!
@@traveling9 you guys are welcome, I look forward to all your new adventures 🙂
My family has been to that old Spanish Fort. It opened in 1695. Fort Augustine is the oldest city in the United States.
That’s awesome! I didn’t know it was the oldest city in the US. Thanks for sharing that with us ☺️
YIKES
The picture of Graham looks like he's seen some things. Lol
Lol, He is a rescue, so he just may have…
I live in a mogelar home, and my house was rocken. Rolling felt like I was on a boat in the high sea's. I never want to go through that again. I hope you made out well. I lost trees, and they up rooted in my pond and lost skirting. I had to go out and feed my bottel calf that was in my horse trailer, and that was rocking. I'm glad you made it through I live on the west coast of Florida it came right over me vary scary
Sounds like you had a wild ride as well. I’m glad everyone, including your livestock, made it out safely. Thankfully we didn’t have any damage. We did notice the RV wasn’t level. The wind was pound so hard that it made us lean to one side. Aside from that, we were all good.
I’ve enjoyed watching your videos! Thank you for sharing! New Subscriber
Awe! Thank you for watching and giving us such great feedback!
Where was the Rv park?
Daytona Speedway RV in Daytona Beach, FL
There is motorhome called the Terra Wind which can float on water, I know because I saw some people who own one, and they drove it into a lake and didn't leak or have any problems. That motorhome is the kind that I want because at least if a person get caught in some water they would not have to worry.
That sounds like a pretty cool motor home!
😊?.?
I don't get it why not just pack up and move
There are a lot of different reasons why people choose to stay. The expense of moving, lack of a tow vehicle, time of from work, etc… We knew the storm wouldn’t be severe by the time it reached us so we decided to ride it out and document the experience for others to see and learn from.
@@traveling9 oh i thought u guys had a tow vehicle
@@mikamika2508 We do have a tow vehicle. Melissa took it to work.
@@traveling9 oh okay i get it now cause i knew i seen it before didnt know if it was down well thank GOD it not and you guys are safe... I had a bunch of family up there and they stayed too
@@mikamika2508 yes yes 🙌🏾 we are all safe and sound. We made it through Ian and Nicole without incident.
Kim's sister. Enjoy every moment you can get with your parents.with whatever it is. Esp. Camping! I've me so many pale who have never seen the great out doors! Enjoy your life!
She’ll definitely appreciate it when she’s older. Thanks for the great advice!
Thank you for posting this, very helpful 😊
My pleasure! I’m glad it helped ☺️
Hope ya'll will pull through without 🙏 injuries
Thanks for the positive vibes! Everyone is safe with no property damage.
Another great video. While you are going over your RV find out which windows are your 'pop out' windows to escape. I didn't find out until after I rode out Hurricane Ida by myself. There was one in the bedroom with a ladder outside attached to get to the roof. *always be prepared for crazy wild animals. How are y'all doing with Hurricane Nicole 🌀
Thanks! That is definitely some great advice! We have all of our emergency exit windows marked so we can easily identify them. But I’m sure your comment here will be helpful for others. Thanks for sharing those tips!
What a ride, glad y'all are safe. I rode out Hurricane Ida 🌀 in our RV by myself! My family got separated because the flood water came in too fast. My Son Dax and Big John made it to our boat docked nearby and rode it out there. Only power was my cell... We were rocking with every wind gust. Our window a/c blew out 3 times then the front door blew out then the flood waters were 9 feet outside 3 feet inside...then it got worse... By daylight I was ready to jump out the window into flood water to go find my Son. Trying to open the window a huge 500 alligator spotted me came swimming over! I jumped to the over side of the bed and here comes a 409 pound alligator! While I am freaking out here comes my Son in a rescue boat for me❤ I jumped from the top of the bed through the window and landed on the bow of the rescue boat, brought me to our boat that made it,,,all water for 28 days no roads, no piers left... **animals go Hurricane crazy when the Barametic Pressure drops below 30.00 for Hurricanes drops way below. ❤❤❤ please be on your guard the adult animals leave the Swamps. I hope y'all are okay from Hurricane Nicole. Update if you can. * one thing I did was carry a marble egg in my pocket for when our RV flipped over so I could break a window out and escape the flood water. Y'all were lucky. God Bless
Wow 😮 I’m glad everyone made it out safely after that. I can only imagine how terrifying that was. Sorry you had to go through that. We did ride out Hurricane Nicole as well. Everyone is safe and there was no damage to our property.

In Orlando we got very little rain mostly light winds.
Definitely not as bad as Ian but still pretty windy in Orange City. And the winds stayed around for a while too.
Sound like my daughter with that dam tic-toc
🤣😂🤣
She was hyper focused on it lol
Don’t come this way. Wisconsin get tornadoes and snow storm during this time of year.
Thanks for the advice! We’re hanging out in Florida until spring. Then we’re gonna figure out where we want to go next.
Texas would welcome you.
@@deneseweatherby7378 Awesome! We plan to visit Texas as well ☺️
Omg you have a lot of baba animal kids lol❤
Lol, that we do! They definitely keep things interesting 😅
I was thinking the same thing like woooow thats a little farm lol
WE LIVED IN A TRAILER & IT WORRIED ME WHEN THE WALLS STARTED TO LOOKS AS THOUGH THE WALLS WERE BREATHING & WE HAD TO PUTS A BOARD UP AGAINST OUR FISH TANKS SO THEY DIDN'T FALL OFF THE STAND
Oh wow! That RV was doing a lot of rocking and flexing. I did get worried when the sun came up and I could see how the windows were flexing in and out. I thought they were gonna pop… it was just like you said, it looked like they were breathing.
Love it❤❤
Thanks! I hope you found it useful and informative ☺️

Thanks! So glad you enjoyed it. Part 2 comes out today. Be looking for it in about 2 hours from now.
dick, all the people that lost everything did not think it was a fun experience
I appreciate your perspective. I am sure they will have a different story to tell and I will respect their story the same way mine should be respected. But let me ask you this, why does my experience need to be different because their experience was different? Why should I be disrespected for sharing my experience?
