Not sure why people do Muffler comparisons when they go through a converter because once they go through a converter everything is quiet.

Throw a flowmaster 10 series on and tell me it’s quiet through a converter!! Lol. Mufflers make a big difference depending on which one you choose

Guess you don’t know how to open the valve thru one of the several apps on the market or by putting it in sport+ mode which then will open the valve.

Just did this on my 21. Hardly noticeable unless it’s a cold start, I tapped up the resonators on the exhaust pipes and now it sounded like what a borla should!

This sounds great and same as MPE at startup anyway. Is it the one off ebay? How does it sound moving do you get pops and bangs? Any drone?

It’s a CSK and got it from ML performance. The burbles are more noticeable now and it doesn’t have any drone and I’m assuming it’s due to the PPF.

as someone who has the mpe&ppf/gpf filter, this is definitely louder even on startup maybe turn up your volume :O ( the switch from the stock exhaust to mpe was barely even noticeable at first but after like 3000km of driving it got louder ) I'll be having an axleback custom made tomorrow exactly like this one so will see how much louder it is with a direct comparison

No transmission issues? I also have a 2016 BMW 340i and my ZF8 when it gets hot (or after tons of pulls) it'll sound supercharger whiney. Only got the car 3 months ago so a little paranoid but if you've had that noise and been running strong I would be alot more confident in the car haha

Hey man I know the exact whine that your talking about and you don’t have to be worried that it is normal with BMW or even any European car for the most part not exactly sure what it is that causes the whine but I’ve driven Porsches, Ferraris, Mercedes, etc and I always hear this whine on the higher rpms.

im a daily light and heavy duty diff mechanic and usually winding sound like u talk sounds exactly like a differential winding because it changes whenever you slightly press or depress gas pedal but again on my car im sceptical it could be that because sounds isn't the same on different gears wich makes me think that it's coming from the tranny itself and not the diff so if all of you guys have the same noise I guess it is normal

Just removed it and taped up the connector and zip tied it out of the way. It kicks out a code for it being disconnected but it doesn’t trigger a CEL

I’d recommend swapping the primary resonator with a vibrant ultra quiet, will kill more drone the the factory one will. Or at least it did for me.

What sounds better muffler delete or both resonators delete? I’m assuming muffler delete is easier to do? You left your resonators in and just did mufflers right? And inversely when people delete resonators do they leave muffler on? Confused a bit Thx

I think muffler delete sounds better because you don’t have that raspy sound that you get with deleting the resonators . My current setup is a catless downpipe, both OEM resonators installed and a muffler delete and I think it’s perfect sounding with only alittle drone at 1400ish RPMs

Fully agree. I have the M performance valved exhaust so i’m thinking have it go through one axleback muffler on single/comfort mode, then the other side will be muffler delete. If you want something big and raspy why not just go with a big block V8.

It’s just a Borla 40359 muffler, local exhaust shop cut out the stock one and installed the Borla

How's this car been reliability wise?? I had a horrible past with BMWs. I want to like them, and these CPO are a great bargain, but I'm really hesitant after my x5 and e46 sucked so bad. Maybe they just had horrible owners, idk. But nothing but oil leaks and sensor problems with them when i had em. Thanks for your input in advance
