I love, love, love sharing the history of the UK from my paramotor on my cross-country flights. I have over 500 hours flying Dudek wings on a Moster 185 bulldog paramotor. I share my mishaps and things NOT TO DO as well. 😁
There are some hires photos of my flights here: markallison.smugmug.com/Other/Paramotoring

How much rain before you'd land out for safety?
If it got heavy with no sign of letting up, then I'd land. I could see in this case it was moderate and reducing. I trimmed out with minimal inputs to avoid a stall.
Another great video Mark. Amazed that you got 3 flights looking at the weather forecast. Looked like a good turnout despite the weather, must try and get there next year.
Yes I was considering not going because of the weather, but glad I went and I was surprised myself that I managed three flights!
Hi mate. Nice video, I’m in Boston and looking at getting started with Paramotoring. Did you learn to fly in lincs?
Yep ask for Mike Chilvers at ufly4fun based at Wingland
@@markallisonparamotor thanks, will do. 👍
@@tomling9310 tell him I said hello :)
Luvly Jubbly ... BUT... flying in rain is defo' a 'no no' for me ... as you may know 🙃😉 Those bands sounded the biz 😃
It's a no no for me too, but I just got caught out! After I hosed my Hadron 3 wing down a few months ago and it was literally dripping wet, I kited it and it flew just fine. If I ever get caught in the rain I trim out, get some altitude so I can throw a reserve and do shallow turns to avoid stalling the wing.
Great edit, Mark! 👍👍 Good to see you there! I was flying the same direction in your first flight, surprised we didn't meet in the air! Though I missed the rain - turned back before reaching Conwy... To be fair, we got more flying than the forecast was suggesting, so it was a win!
If I had taken off 30-40 mins earlier I probably would have been fine! Oh well...
Flying in the rain?! You've got at least 6 more balls than I do! Great vid man
It wasn't raining when I took off and I didn't intend to do that, but sometimes that's just how it goes in the UK!
Aside from the crappy weather.........it looked like a good time!
It was!
That rain makes me feel slightly less unhappy that I chose not to go this year. Maybe next time!
It was worth it though to hang out with people.
Nice video!
Beautiful part of the country, but single digit temperatures in the summer..... omg
I know right, the weather here this year has been particularly bad.
Great Video Mark!! looked good apart from the rain. 😊
Great video Mark
Great video as always wetter than expected but at least we got a few flights & a bit of sight seeing in 😁
Absolutely, it was definitely worth it.
Superb edit Mark. You definitely saw more of Wales than we did. Was not comfortable at all flying in the rain. ha ha. Great to see you again. We will definitely see you at the next one.
To be honest I wasn't comfortable in the rain either, see you at the next one!
nice the beach looked nice...
Had my 1st flight yesterday, it was scary as hell and amazing at the same time. It was your videos that made it happen. Thanks Mark!
Sweet, glad to hear it!
Nice video again Mark see you in the air soon
Hope so!
Was this June 2nd by any chance? I was flying my Skyranger Nynja about that time and was nearby 2 paramotors over wicksteed park.
Yep we saw you! I wondered who it was, thanks for dropping by.
What a coincidence. Just came by your video after watching a few of Tuckers. Going to have to get myself into paramotoring too I think.
How do you stand motor vibrations for that long? I feel like after an hour 20 I’m spent. Any tips? I got a viteriazi 185
Honestly doesn't bother me. Atom 80 is better for this, but still, not perfect. Make sure your prop is perfectly balanced.
Hello from Germany... I'm uograding my wing this year and don't have access to demo wings in my size. So do you have any rpm or fuel burn per hour with the trim settings? I will uy the H3 or viperxc and both wings are nice for my, so i try to calculate which wing is better in long xc flights. Your informations will help me and i can share my results at the end :).
On my H3 20m with Atom 80: 3L/hr trimmed in, 3.5L/hr trimmed out.
Perfect commuter
Another beautiful flight Mark Good point about crossing power lines at 45 degrees
Yes indeed
Is it still that cold over there to dress that heavily for a morning flight?
Sadly yes, even this morning it was 7C on the ground, but a toasty 11C at 1000 feet. In the afternoon though, it's nearer 21C
@@markallisonparamotor Ok yeah that's much different than here in the States. Been 20C some mornings on its way to 30C during the day. Quite miserable actually, especially with humidity. At least the days are long. 😄
Yes sun rises at 04:40 and sets at 21:25 😁
Great little adventure Mark and Lee, I must try and get out more!
For sure, but it has not been easy in the past six months due to weather.
see this is why you get a paramortor
You got it!
That really is extremely dangerous. You truly are an incredibly brave man eating at mcdonalds like that.
I know right, I made an exception this time!
All this frequent and high quality content just waiting for millions of viewers
Very kind
What a great storyline, better than Tuckers
Haha thanks, most of it totally unplanned!
Luvly Jubbly ... well done with that X-Wind take-off ... I'm fairly certain I'd have failed that one (legs not got a sprint in them these days lol )
I wasn't sure it was going to work to be honest, I was sweating!
hahaha that as a fun adventure! Quite eventful as well! glad you didn't lose the fuel tank! that would be a crazy twist! 😅😅
I was so glad to find it! Quite a long way for my wife to drive out and retrieve me. All good in the end, a proper adventure!
Great video and adventure Mark. I always like to fly with a mission too. I also like watching Tucker's shenanigans but your videos are much more like my style of flying, you both inspire me to get out and do more.
This could be a part of the new Carry on film franchise. Great video.
Haha!
Choose your friends wisely.... Funny vid, thanks for sharing!
That looked great adventure ✈️🪂 on thief-craft 😅😅
It was!
Look at that a victim of crime turning criminal🤣 great vid once again Mark!
🤣
Mark, just a comment - LOVED the video but... At this point: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z314raqpZsuzh84.htmlsi=ozHTPMDA8Ik-cBqy&t=935 I was getting a little worried you were about to have a camera prop strike. Perhaps it's not as close as it looks, but... just something to be aware of, if there's anything that can be done!?
Hey, thanks for the concern. It has never happened because it hangs higher than the prop tips. If the line length was longer it could potentially happen.
@@markallisonparamotor Glad to hear it! I just worried if I didn't say anything it might catch you out in future! But, mind at ease! (I don't have a chase cam, so don't really know how they attach!)
Awesome, great adventure. Bet you're glad that woman chased you down the road and never reported you instead (well, it would be hard with no reg number :-) )
We nearly got away with it too, and I would have been none the wiser! 🤣
Nice one! I still haven't found a Maccas I could potentially fly to here in Oz :p
There's got to be one somewhere... 😁
Classic! Henceforth you shall be, Dick Turnip, the crap highwayman 😂
🤣
Brilliant mark next pmc I better hide my fuel 😂good to see you at parafest
You better had!
Fuel tank shenanigans - love it 🙂
What FUN!!!
Great entertaining video Mark as always. There's plenty of PPG stuff out there but you stand out there in my book. I travel in your part of the UK allot and keep one eye in the sky. I have had to delay my PPG training due to other commitments but when I take to the air later in the year it will be your approach to the sport and videos that will bring me to the cloud base. Happy flying a safe landings to all aviators
Thanks, best of luck with your training!
Tucker was the reason I learned to fly paramotors two years ago. It's the best thing i ever did. The weather up here in Northumberland hasn't been great so far this year but here's hoping! Nice flight there Mark, what an adventure.
I love your channel name! Yeah this year has to be the worst I've experienced with aviation. It's got to turn good at some point, right?
Wow even Tucker appreciated this one. Inspired Mark loved this video.
Thanks, it's very satisfying to fly out somewhere for a reason, rather than doing a closed circuit.
Where are you based? I live near St Neots just about to do my course
Near Bedford but I often fly from Little Gransden Airfield as shown in the video. You should pop over for a chat, not far for you.
@@markallisonparamotor Sweet. Im in Chawston, right next back cat roundabout. You will see me in the air at some point next month
Is it common in the UK to not have farm fields fenced in? I'd say >95% in the U.S. are.
Very common, although a lot of fields are fenced in. It depends where you are in the country. Often up North they use stone walls, and down South use hedgerows.
I would love to fly in the UK someday. It's so beautiful! Cheers!
The weather sucks most of the time, but when it's nice, it is good!
He inspired me too!! Thanks Tucker😊 Great video Mark!! Good adventure.
That's awesome!
Loved the video. Maybe next time you need to bring a bike lock with you to chain up the gas can. That type of thing would never happen in the US.🤣🤣🤣
Great idea!
