Like many of you, we have full time jobs, kids little league sports, school projects, and family life during the week. In our spare time, we like to enjoy the outdoors as a family, work on projects for our homestead, care for our farm animals & grow our own food.
Homesteading is flat out challenging, we are not experts, just a family that enjoys our hobby farm and homesteading. We make mistakes along the way, learn from the mistakes and try again. Oh yeah & we try & have fun along the way, don’t forget the fun.

Rachel I used to give my goats carrots and quartered apples as a treat, if you just put it in their feeding trough they will eat it. Yay you found where the goat is getting out. Check with your local farm stores they make a product to kill out the lilly pads that don't kill the fish. Wild hogs could kill your goats also if they're hungry so be careful there.

I think you shouldn’t hunt them because they’re top predators for invasive species in Florida. If you take them out you will give chance for invasive species to grow

Yes, it seemed that the dogs didn’t see the deer as much of a threat. Kora seen them first and just watched. Leesky didn’t seem to be at full run, but wanted them to know they shouldn’t be in the fenced in area.

Good job Rachel! My dogs didn't turn out too well for guarding but we have a cow that will stand with the baby goats when they get their heads stuck until we get there to help.

Hi Kevin and Rachael It’s raining here in Uk. I prefer the sun shining than the rain as it’s so depressing. I was in town this morning to have my toe nails cut and after that went for a coffee in a local Costa ands always have a skinny late from there. The young girl in the shop wanted winter to come. Talk about wishing your life away. You cannot win with some of them. Someone else told me about this and am thinking about getting that. I will get some probiotics in with my grocery shopping and love them. My immune system is compromised so need something lol. Much love and respect from across the pond in Ukx
