TCone is trying to avoid having to include J Baltazar into the team plain and simple. He would never coach a Gilas team with JBalthazar in it. If JBalthazar is in the pool TCone will surely handover the reign back to Reyes. Gilas needs a coach who brings no politics into the game.

He is right... the triangle offense is not like the dribble-drive that most Pinoy basketball players are familiar with. Coach Tim Cone's triangle is a system. Most Pinoy basketball fans should learn how it works and I am sure, they will appreciate it when they have a better understanding of the game.

TCone urged JAguilar to unretire coz JAguilar is familiar with his so called system. In the crucial game against Brasil, he benched Amos in favor of JAguilar. Thanks to the familarity of JAguilar to TCone's system, JAguilar committed only 10 turn overs.

Newsome, he's served. The program SHOULD REPLACE ABOUT 4 PLAYERS EVERY 4 YEARS. Jack Cruz-Dumont, 24y, perfect Thompson clone. And he's 6'3! Coach Cone should be introduced to Jack. 12 players pool also is not good, 15 at least -- 3 per position. It just makes sense due to availability be it personal, health/injury, tournament conflict. Lastly, if really you want 12 players, go with again a program that replaces 4 players every 4 years so that the 12 gets younger each Olympics cycle. Cone needs to hire also a Rising Stars team so they can learn the system early while playing for the Juniors cup. He needs to get his style imprint on the youth squad as preparatory to joining seniors.

yung skill, nadedevelop yan. pero yung height, mahirap makaproduce sa atin bilang Filipino. importante talaga na may tangkad at athleticism sa lineup, hindi para sa Asia kundi pang-World Cup na.

Maybe SBP can make arrangements to have 6'10 Brix Versoza train along side JMF or under Ildefonso and see how it pans out. Early discovery and eraly development will be key to a steady supply of legitimate big men for the national team program. Madalas kasi late discovery nangyayari sa potential big men natin, 16 or 17 na bago mabigyan ng proper training kaya late na din ang development. Now SBP is going around the country and the US for young talents. Hopefully mpagabda pa nila ang network nila so by young age ma identify na ang mga prospects at mabigyan ng proper training.
