    My first PC had a JUKO MB with 1024k ! wish I still had it! The CPU is run at a higher voltage by a sparate voltage regulator and runs at a higher speed

    I was wondering why it uses 7805 regulator from 12V rail . Strangely enough as you mention this 7805 output 5.75V instead of 5.00V so I decided to remove it and connect the CPU directly to the 5V rail . I tested the CPU in turbo mode at bouth voltages , but there was no any speed deferences. It was about 6.45MHz (in this video 7.29MHz)

    @@intel386DX There is likely a diode in the ground side of 78L05 to raise the voltage.

    @@mohinderkaur6671 oh yes there is a diod thank ! So it is completely normal to be near 6V instead of just 5V. I was wondering what is the reason. BTW I have one XT turbo baby mobo board that have no 7805 and the CPU is directly connected to the 5V. I will check the performance of it . :)

    @@intel386DX They are overvolting the CPU to have it stable at higher speed than spec.

    I think it’s from a famiclone/NES clone, you would think it’s Atari compatible with the 9 pin connector but it could be non standard.

    He had a map of the entire world drawn on sheets of paper taped together, and he encoded it into his Apple IIc a byte at a time. The whole thing was coded in assembly -- impressive. Not bad for a high schooler.

    It's been maybe 30 years since I saw the Atom demo. It always amazed me that it came out of the PC speaker on an 8088.

    MCA sound cards are rare and expensive. This PC didn’t have ISA slots.

    My first IBM-compatible PCXT had the NEC V20 processor. Never knew it was faster than 8088 until today 28 years later by this time had cannibalised it long time in 1995

    the video part is 3 times faster than my amstrad ppc 640 but the cpu performance is slower

    Nice to find this video as I have just received a JUKO ST board :) Flash to the past - Do you recall what kind of power supply connector you used? I'm trying an old AT power supply connector like from the IBM XT/286/386/486 and it doesn't seem to want to fit on the JUKO. Hoping you know what kind of connector your power supply used.

    Mine was AT standard. The older AT power supplies have a split connector, so make sure the black wire is next to black wire or it will damage the board.

    @@Wormetti some XT boards and power supplyes have one power connector (like a 2 standard AT ones, but together and a bit different shape, so can not fit in the standard connector)

    @@intel386DX yes, the one in this video was standard but there are many non standard. Even if you have the original power supply, best to check voltages and test it on an expendable device first.

    all these games are early XT 8088 games, you can play far better games on your ps/2

    Yes they were just more nostalgic to me since my first PC only had CGA. I think I also made an EGA/VGA video. I sold that PS/2 long ago.

    Sometimes but it's usually close enough, the main problem is signal noise.

    I was a bit optimistic thinking I'd make another video in 6 months. It's been over a year. I probably have enough video to make a new compilation but I've been delaying editing it until I get a new video card or PC.
