They just don't make awesome shows like this anymore where they can be this naturally hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 and talk about serious topics in the same episode.

He couldn’t be happy that his wife was developing a hobby. It made him feel inferior? Karen was nice and supportive. Wayne was lost and Kevin was analytical.

They should have hired a professional clay sculptor to be Data's hands in this scene. His two sculptures here are kinda imperfect, Data irl would be capable of a lot more.

I remember my art teacher telling me to draw something that represented the sounds of a jungle, without drawing trees or animals or anything actually in a jungle. I did my best, and really liked her as a teacher, but I still remember that being the most "you are so full of $###" assignment I was ever given. How do you draw a sound???

I don't feel this way of instructing young people is ethical. You don't get a prize or kind words for mediocre work and effort. I am an oil painter, sculptor and musician of 25 years. Many years ago in my art school and training, things did not work like this. You progressed, learned and engaged very seriously or you were OUT. This is why there are no more DaVinci's, or old masters. These kids aren't going to break. The teachers are mediocre artists and failures as well. We need DaVinci level artists teaching these kids. How do we get there people? Blood, Sweat and Tears. Someone loses. Someone fails. It's life. It makes you stronger. The kids effort was terrible and he should have been made aware of this, and then the instructor should have set down and deeply worked with him and showed him how the masterpiece is made, and make him learn, and he either works and works and works and does it, or he fails and goes and tries something else. Why is Deanna Troi teaching sculpture? She can't sculpt her way out of a wet paper bag. This is not ethical. It is also representative how this technological hell society of ours views artistry. Art has become an "enrichment" activity and some "hobby" when stacked up against engineering or technology. Tell this to Davinci, or Vermeer, or Caravaggio, or any of the masters who were apprenticed and worked for decades to produce their work. This scene and how they view art is highly insulting.... Seriously, why don't they just bring in the replicator an tell it to produce the Mona Lisa and then the kids can sign it with their names. This is where we are going people. Mediocrity all day long.

I look at Marina Sirtis totally differently now. When I see how she acts in conventions. I look at the real life how she would react compared to the Counselor Troi’s reactions😂🤣😂 Shows how skilled she was at her craft.

Men at those times were thought to be jerks! This really reflects many things I saw growing up and I decided to marry someone that wouldn't be so ungrateful and would acknowledge women gifts. Best decision ever. Today I don't speak to my father and since then my life only improved.

Beautiful piece. The juxtaposition of black and white hands goes straight to the philosophy of The show. And on top of clay to boot. Doesn’t get much more profound than that.

If I had her as my wife, I wouldn't be grumpy like he often is. Best episode is the one where she goes out with Kevins friend Paul and we see how she sparkles from just a little attention, as opposed to being taken for granted all the time. Even grumpy seems to realize it at the end, while her beauty coming down the stairs with all that blond hair and black dress depicts the perfect woman.
