Just to be fair, if you are listening in your computer or phone that is an invalid test comparison. Unless you have reference class headphones or similar ultra clear speakers and a good external DAC you actually don’t know what they like. Shure is very old technology yet oddly Millennials and younger see it as the badge of honor. Kind of warms my heart cuz that is the mic all the arena rock bands used in 60’s and 70’s. If you hear the sonic difference between Shure Beta 58 and Senn e945, it is striking. Senn is a smooth and extended frequencies. I would also add in Heil PR22 for amazing sound less than $199

Helpful. My Yeti GX sounds OK now. In a newer version of Logi G Hub, the reduced de-esser settings you suggest (-20/-10) are now the default. To be fair even applying the G Hub built in profiles of 'Natural' and 'Broadcaster' made the mic sounds *a lot* better.

How the hell you get that clear sound through guitar. My mtrack duo has a LOT of noise, even without guitar cable plugged into the interface. Imagine how much noise amplified if i plugged my guitar + metal preset. Unusable.

The only microphones that sound similar are the Eartworks Ethos, Shure SM7B, EV RE20. Neumann KM 105 and Neumann U87AI. The Earthworks is kinda muffled with a little loose of a low end. The Shure SM7B as More Energy on the high Bass frequencies. But you might call it booming as well. In a vacuum, I’d go for either the RE20 or the BCM705. But at that price range I’d probably be saving up for the BCM 104.

It's certainly great for podcasts, not great for vocals in a song as it changes the pitch drastically. Other than formant shift.

Did anybody test AKG D5lx ? . specs mention it includes "hum bucking" (or EMI rf rejection) coil. Does it sound the same as "standard" D5 ? thanks if anybody has any advice. I am thinking in buying, but cannot test in any local shop in advance. Also couldn't find any test in youtube related to this D5lx model I mention. salute everybody.
