Some of the "collapses" you crawled through didnt seem like collapses. All the surrounding bricks were intact. Just a random mound of debris and dirt in the middle of the path. Kinda weird

I worked in a mine exactly the same as this, all the wire and plastic was copper power cable stripped for the copper. We walked miles before starting work,it went on as far as the coal seam unless water or unstable strata stopped it

... fantastic work! That was a beautiful seam of high-luster coal you found around the 12-minute-mark. Anthracite of that grade is the only-thing that could have driven them that far during their era. It appears it was slated between some incredible-layering of iron-pyrite and organic-sulfide. This tells me... pressure was high-enough to make some wonderfully pure and dense carbon-matrices within that coal-vein. I could see the level of refraction... just from your limited light-source. Great find!

It’s a miners transit. There loads in derby shire. Standard build. The one in Pinxton is used as a culvert now but you can still walk in it and see the old lights on the ceiling where metal robbers have not taken, machine shop was walled up. Like this now, was in one 30 ago. But my grandad told me that in them where machine shops and the usually used for moving pit pony’s and designed for moving around a plant or mine whilst still accustomed to the dim of the mine. If you want I think I can find a picture of the plym entrance , and the run through , just be careful of marsh damp. It’s a killer. . Good luck exploring the “Plymouth “ the term for these tunnels here . Thanks for the this footage.

Egads! I don't know how you do this. Just watching this made me so claustrophobic I had to pause to catch my breath and squirm in my chair, yet I persevered to the end. I had to convince myself that you must have made it out safely or it wouldn't have been posted. Thank goodness. ❤

I don't want to repeat the so-often repeated trope of people's torches (flashlights) going out at the most important times when the paranormal seemed nearest. It's as it has a mind of its own. I don't buy into paranormal until I've seen it myself. This is pretty epic footage of this cave/ mine/ or something. Thanks so much! I remember reading the Peoria Magazine at a car dealership. I read the whole thing. One long article was by old retired Miners saying that you could at one time walk all the way from Glasford to Elmwood, IL. I imagine most of it has caved in by now, but that would take weeks. And without oxygen sensors, and lights burning out, I can't imagine making it to the other side. At the time, they had head lamps that lit up. I don't know what they were called.

There’s a lot of silt and dirt on the floors of the tunnels, the bricklayers would have had more room to stand to place those bricks when it was first built.
