Utility and engineering vehicles with a few mine protected vehicles? National guard going on a drivers course, maybe sending the vehicles for an overhall? In the CF when our army unit had to deploy with all our vehicles to a port for shipment overseas is when we got practice loading our vehicles onto a train. Respect to Uncle Sam.

or ANY UNIT Guard or Active (one of them since there is Artillery) going anywhere; could even be 10TH MTN DIVARTY unit going to JRTC or Bragg for training, or a Guard unit returning from Drum

My husband was in the Army for 20 years. He was in the Cavalry. This is a practice done regularly. Those flat cars are all DOD cars, specially built for the heavy armored vehicles. He was stationed in Ft Knox. They’d do this exercise, readying the train once a month.

Its AMAZING! The only time civilians pay any attention to this rail movement is when they think that there is something going on; something for them to connect the dots in their brains with. I served for 20years, active duty, US Army, un lucky enough to do my last 4 yrs in Scranton as a recruiter (why I am subbed here). Army units; active, Guard and Reserve rail-head and move all the time. Usually its to go to either National Training Center in California at Ft Irwin for about a month, or to the Joint Readiness Trng Center at Ft Polk in Louisiana. You all say these were headed south, I believe that all the PA Guard Artillery units in the area are self propelled M109 units, these were towed 105mm's. Could be NY Guard maybe even active duty from 10th Mountain at Ft Drum NY.. whoever, could be headed to JRTC, NTC, maybe even Ft Dix, Ft Pickett or Ft Indiantown Gap (the last 3 if these were Guard) You all just stay calm and tuck your faces back into your phones and play call of duty or some sh1t and stop pretending like you know something, alright? 🤣 what would have been helpful to ID who this unit is, would have been to get a shot of the 'bumper numbers' painted on either the front or back bumpers of the trucks or trailers. with that, I could have told you what the unit is and if its Guard, Reserve or Active Duty. Keep on the lookout 'cause there will probably be more rolling through and they are NOT always at night LMAO!!

speaking mainly to some of the comments love all your vids BTW. one time at a house visit as a recruiter up near Carbondale (off the road towards Simpson) as a Army recruiter, the family showed me how their house was built on the entrance of a coal mine - in their basement was a door that went to like a sub basement, that's where the entrance to the mine was. who was your recruiter down there; what year? we got quite a few ppl who would come up from Luzerne COunty and say "hey,, those guys down i n W-B, I think they were lying to me.. could you help me out?" no problem... the areas around Scranton I recruited in were way too tight knit with everyone talking to risk the "lying recruiter" BS coming back on me, esp being so close to retirement @@AnthraciteHorrorStories

Considering that besides Fort Indiantown Gap, there is Letterkenny Army Depot that overhauls every one of those vehicles that passed on the train. Its no big deal at all. loosen the tin foil hat.
