I have a question, if anyone can answer. I read about this conflict but information seemed to be poor, as mentioning a war between Chechens and Russians. Can anyone explain why were troops who supported Chechnya's president, and why were troops against him (in First Chechen War), and then how the jihadists join the conflict? And who did Russia finance? Thanks! I have kind of a mess in my mind rn

I know this video is 6 years old, but this is a great example of unbiased info. as other Chinese commenter pointed out... History isn't black or white, but gray all over the place. Great job.

It’s crazy to know I was born the same year the ceasefire was official.
The intro made me immediately pause and turn off thus video. Shameful.

They set up roadblocks and checked the national ID card to see what a person was. Wrong stat and it was the Machete for you. Now go get your RealID. lol. Lmao.

Recognition of Chechnya by Taliban -led Afghanistan in 2000 surely was a turning point. It had actually turned initial success of Chechen separatists on itself, especially after 2001 USA invasion.

Thank you for a very brief recounting of the war. I was pleased to see so much information aptly packed with brevity.

The writing was way weaker in Assassin's Creed II compared to the first one. First one was gritty and realistic, and dialogue was short but succinct. In AC2, it felt more like a theatrical play with much longer dialogue and it was written where Ezio had deep relationships with a lot of his allies and enemies, whereas a lot of the supporting cast in AC1 were more like acquaintances with Altair, which was much more realistic.

It was possible to push for such a big reform in such a short period of time because of the population explosion leading to a large proportion of young people, and young people are very open minded. Imagine pushing for something like that today, when a large portion of the population are old farts.
