Dohc tdi what motor is that a CR? My buddy imported some dohc 16 valve motors from Europe, i didnt know the crs were dohc!

Hello, I have a Mk6 Golf TDI that needs the valve gasket cover replaced. I don’t own a VCdS software to depressurize the inject rails. What advice would you share, I heard if I remove the rail without the VCDS my vehicle will not run!

Hmm, been a long time since I last did this work. Not sure you have to have VCDS, but it helps to run the fuel pump to purge the air from the rail. I'd leave the injector nuts cracked with rags around them, crank for a few seconds to purge air and see some diesel. Then tighten the nuts and attempt to start.

You mention ARP stud swap after OEM bolts removed. What part# did you use?? My project- 2014 Passat CKRA-TDI, replaced head gasket after 300k miles, w/valve job. Wrong head gasket and I’m tired of single use bolts. Plus need the strength for Stage3 malone tune Ive been running for a few years.

Honestly don't remember. But I do recall it was a chore to find the right size. Take a stock head bolt, measure, and then reference against the the ARP chart.

Haha, I'm sorry no. This was a custom setup that was actually great and I sold the turbo to Bob Mann. I think he was happy with it too.

Hey, great tune! Did you face any issue with slippage on the dsg? Under load between 2k-3k rpm? I am running 13bar on my dq250 mqb platform with 550nm and i am dealing with slippage. Thanks in advance.

You need to tune the DSG and up the clamping pressure. Also, there is less low rpm end torque with a huge turbo and the low rpm is where you'll see slippage. This turbo doesn't really light up till 3,000rpm.

I went one turbo too big. 2260/injectors/cp3 pump is the ideal setup.

2260 hands down. I went one turbo too big... Haha. Turbo, injectors, cp3 pump, tune. That is the sweet spot.

I used that because its what I had laying around. It did get a bit brittle over time and I eventually replaced it with a better hose.

Black RTV. Can be found at any auto parts store. You need to be careful how you apply it, and not too much so you don't plug any of the oil ports to the camshaft.
