Hello, should the feet on Ma Bu be pointed forward, or open 30 degrees? I've seen people do it both ways and I don't know which would be correct. Or does it depend on style and family? Thanks

Hi, at 0:45 I see that knees should not go over toes, but at 2:39 they do go over toes, don't they?

Could you explain the leg position a little more at 2:49 please. I feel If I see it from the top down I would better understand. Is it straight back behind or slightly out to the side ? It doesn't appear to be straight to the side.

Thank you for putting in the pin yin tones, and characters! I’m happy to finally see how these are actually written and pronounced - lord knows we’ve made a mess of the pronunciations in my English only class :)

This is not work of women. How do they dare to do these things (men's worrks)? The women who practise this should be rapppd by thrustiing swords in their asssholes.

You bet. I caught a pubalgia due to taolu training that favored one side for Pu Bu. I had to stop several years. It is only with proper bodybuilding training that I could solve the problem -- more or less.

It is also very common in "low level" wushu and it is a rampant problem with the most basic pu bu stances!

I understand the issue but solution given at the end ain't worth much. During trainings (when there's alot of time until competition) we do train both sides of the body, or sometimes use non dominant side more, but forcing regulations at competition would become a bit of a clown fiesta. Imagine demanding same thing at olympic pole vault ( their sport is also asymetric). I love taolu but saying that is fight with imaginary opponent is a miss. Taolu evolved beyond that years ago, top athletes perform movements wich aren't fight related at all (and difficult beyond comprehension) so what's the point? Coaches should adjust trainings to compensate imbalances and problem solved.
