I have that same "Sierra" tenkara rod and love it for our excursions in the Eastern Sierra's. Thanks for the video.
@@mikak1 it's a great rod!
Thanks Huck, liked it, have to try that spot at Silverlake someday, Enjoy your video’s !!
Thanks, enjoyed your video. Super pleasant trip. Nice views, good spots, no mosquitos, glad you know the area, I’d be lost back there.
@@yardboy3955 so much great fishing there
Wish i was there too!
That is an awesome camp spot. I remember I had a meet-up one year beautiful views. Thanks for sharing 👍
This is the best vid I have ever seen of the teacups. Beautiful photography! Perfect water level to show them at their best.
@@derralfields Thank you
As always, had a blast bud! Some great views on this trek. Def cooler towards the top, nice break from the heat wave.
Little Jimmy is a great spot. Nice! How was that salsa?
WoW! That’s Incredibly Awesome! Absolutely Exciting And Breathtaking Adventure!
That campsite looks great. Interesting about the privy. Sounds fancy lol. Great video.
I never been up there. I'll have to check it out.
I’m glad it’s still looking nice there. Looks weird without the water basin. Awesome vid. 👏👏
Great to see some coverage of Little Jimmy - one of the best campsites in ANF
One of the few primitive camps in SoCal where you can have a fire!
Bummed I missed out. That looked like a lot of fun though. Especially the ability to have a fire. I love that man. Glad you dudes enjoyed and glad you got the chair worked out (future Matt talking to future HUCK)
Awesome campsite. Those were some beautiful views to camp. Interesting about the privy. Nice trip and area my friend 👍🏻👍🏻
Huck - As always thanks for sharing your campout at Little Jimmy.
It's Avery beautiful place
Great choices of trail food and whiskey, I have always wanted to camp at little Jimmy but closer to spring or fall.
Great adventure... Looks nice up there. Thank you for sharing. Take care Jason. 🇺🇸
Any bear or mountain lion encounters?
We did run into something above us 10 years ago back there. Not sure what it was, but it put off a weird smell.
@@HuckOutdoors thank you and be safe! Loved the video by the way. Did you feel any fear ?
@@chickmagnetR12 it was hard to explain. There was no fear until the weird smell. And it was more of a being more alert.
I know that area. I am sure you caught and released. Beautiful area and beyond amazing the fish can survive skinny water.
Yup C&R!
Absolutely beautiful. Great catches, great video, and great company. SUBBED!
Thanks for the sub!
Beautiful man! Another great video dude 🤙🏽 I’m waiting to fish 🎣 more and more now lol
You'll love it!
@@HuckOutdoors one day man! TAKE ME lol
Such a beautiful area. I love the Sierras.
It really is such a treat each time we get to go there.
Hi Jason, this was another excellent adventure. I expect to backpack the high Sierra this year as well. Do you have any tips for a catch and cook on the trail while maintaining Leave No Trace principles?
What time of the year did you go?

Great stories and awesome vid 👍👍lol about the shorts around the pants 😂
Dude! When he saw that bear, I never seen him run so fast!
My fav trail! Awesome video Huck!!!
It's a great trail!
Love Little Lakes Valley. Great video. Heading over in late July, cant wait.
Have fun!
What a great looking location .. Beautiful scenery and a few willing fish ... Laid up , at least off trails ,waiting on knee surgery ... If I can't be there , next best thing is seeing someone else enjoy the game .. sounds like the Rainbow people found you , hope they got beamed back up quickly ... Stay Safe...
LOL yes, that was a weird experience with those folks. Hope your recovery on the knee is quick!
Beautiful video. What kind of camera?
sorry - i read the description. i see it's a Sony cam.
Sony A7CR Great camera!
WORLD FAMOUS CHICKEN FOOT LAKE!! 😃.. classic! That was an excellent vid. What an absolutely beautiful place it is.
Glad you got to experience it!
Dang brotato. Cult status chants !😅
Wow dude, place look super rad! What the heck was going on behind you while fishing at Gem lake haha!! What a weird encounter.
Yeah that was some weird stuff back there!
Looks likes you guys has a good time. That is such a beautiful area. How did you get your pack so dialed! It looks so small! Sick!
That pack sure looked small, but i felt the weight!
WTF is wrong with people. If you have to go in the woods and chant “I am worthy”, the woods ain’t gonna fixya! Sorry you had to deal with those knuckleheads. Hey, I’m all for people trying to figure things out for themselves, but don’t disrespect others and disrupt their solitude. Yikes!
Yeah that was such a weird experience!
BEAUTIFUL VIEW 😊
Huck this is one of your best adventures yet. Beautiful country where you guys were camping. Looks like Paradise. I really enjoyed the fishing. Keep em coming. Thanks for sharing.
It really is paradise up there!
Man Little Lakes is easily one of my favorite destinations to hike/fish. So so many places to wander and explore, had an awesome trip last time I was up there
It's such a beautiful spot for outdoor adventures!
That’s a great area. Did you find the lake with the good-sized browns?
We skipped that one this time.
Nice, lots of fish :). Kind of sad when people decide to behave like they own the common shared public spaces, they are definitely not worthy of them :)
Great video. Easily one of the best hikes I’ve ever been on in my life.
Couldn't agree more!
Awesome landscape. Group chanting would have definitely been an odd experience for me too.
Right?
Those bear boxes were not available in the 90's. We tied out food up. 😀
This was my favorite place to camp in scouts in the 90's. Those fire pits and grills were there back then. Also the pit toilets and plenty of water from the natural spring. Not sure why someone would camp right next to you, that's bizarre. Plenty of space and sites there, at least there used to be.
Just got back from there this past weekend. The new toilets have a conveyer belt!! So weird!
great video - liked and subscribed - you captured the essence of a backpack trip to that area - thanks! There are some cool caves to explore carefully in that area too, and a route with a class 2/3 pass that will lead to beautiful Ansel Lake from the main White Chief Bowl...
Would love to go back and explore the caves!
