    The tick master is only for factory c5 clutches as a bandaid. DO NOT use it on an aftermarket clutch.

    It's adjustable, why couldn't you use it with an aftermarket clutch? Sure you risk over extending but that's any clutch

    @@CanyonTuned it made the pedal exactly 10x as heavy with exactly 0.25" of takeup with my Monster clutch. I changed to a new oem setup and it's basically a new car. I cannot describe just how horrible the tick was.

    @@workout3389 You can convert from MS41.1 to MS41.2 but not MS41.0. You just need to flash a full bin from an M3, then copy over all your 328 specific values over like the fuel and timing tables. I think there's a guide on the romraider forums

    What about a 92 OBD1 M50B25NV with a Bosch ECU. Stock dme is a no-go, there doesn't seem to be a plug & play solution either. There's only PnP solutions for the m50tub25 (vanos).

    I think there's a pnp version of megasquirt, at least there used to be. Otherwise you'll have to get a jumper harness

    Hello Canyon Tuned, I really appreciated this video and it gave me insight to my issue. My NA m52b25 car seems to only register the first fuel bank in the ecu as it was previously modified for forced induction turbo, now removed. I've tried multiple different tuned ecu's, and everything down to the plugs/injectors themselves, multiple crank sensors and all that has been had multiple thrown at it. The whole engine harness was swapped as it didnt have front o2's. The timing was off a tooth and just finished getting done.. and it didnt change the problem, let alone change how the car ran at all. Most of that is all back to stock and it still wont show a second bank which causes an odd misfire under max load after a certain duration, if car is turned off the car will reset and the car could drive without issue until it goes under max load again and after a certain duration but the duration seems to get shorter as the car repeats this and gets hot I think i dont know (but for example trying to push the car through an event it seems to come back quicker). Why does the car show 1 fuel bank in the data logs on my OBD2 software? Is it related to this when you say the 1&2 STFT "merging" together? How can I reset using romraider?

    I would start by overwriting your ecu to one of the stock maps provided in the forums. If that doesn't work you have a mechanical or electrical issue

    You do realize these have air to water intercooler? Usually the water temp is higher than the air that passes through anyway

    I used the base file for a 3SGE Beams engine and I think leaving it as modelled with new fuel pressure sensor or temp sensor has given me some problems. Thanks for the tip!

    Even then you should be able to used the modeled fueling mode, if your fuel table seems way off you probably don't have your injector settings correct

    I lived almost my entire life right next to these mountains and can tell the #1 reason people die here is stupidity. Don’t go up n any mountain in AZ during the summer in the middle of the day and no water or telling anyone where you’re going.     What do you think about boosted N52B30 ? They're getting more popular, not the best engine to boost but they're getting better (350-400hp)

    I'm pretty sure the rods and pistons are really weak in those, and the compression would probably be too high

    @@CanyonTuned Max HP recorded on stock block was in the 600s but the engine blew on the dyno. I've even seen people say that a turbo N52 (small boost) is more reliable than a N54. Who knows

    Do you have any experience with the new MS3Pro PnPs for OBD2 e36's? I'm leaning that way over Vems since I hear that Vems hardware is on the older side.

    I have experience with both, I would say the hardware/software on the MS3Pro is newer and frequently updated. While the VEMS hardware works great (although getting flex fuel to work is a little bit of a hack). Don't expect VEMS to update anything in the future. It's kind of a dead development project at this point.

I wanted to know if you can tune these cars without having any forced induction. I have a 3.5 intake and I'm not sure if I can put a 3.5 MAF as well and if I do put a 3.5 maf should the car be tuned after?

    Yes, you can tune non FI e36's on stock DME and it should work great. If you're going to get a 3.5 MAF you'll want a 3.5 intake, injectors, and optionally bigger cams. And yes, you'll need a tune as well.

    @FourCuteCats I have a 3.5 intake on it now. Next step is the 3.5 MAF. You don't think I can get away with stock injectors? Or are you saying it's only worth doing all that if you get injectors and cams? Also I'd like to try and tune the car myself. I just don't know where to start. If you wanted to share ypur knowledge it would be greatly appreciated 🙂. At least how to start the process.

    @@dbldwn3842 Stock injectors with which engine? The S52 pink top injectors have some headroom for more airflow but not much. You'll need to log injector duty cycle to be 100% sure. Also I have a ton of videos on how to tune the stock DME. kzread.info/head/PLflcXINTFVbuHbL79RXLP4qBUpB1_fYnV

    I run a wire in speeduino that cost me about $120USD total excluding the wideband sensor and controller, also uses TunerStudio so has auto tune. It's a great learning experience since it's all open source.

    ​@@CanyonTuned there's an online manual that you can google, also some videos on youtube. I can't link anything here because youtube will remove my comment. Speeduino is basically just the firmware, there are a few official boards and lots of user designed boards including a plug and play E36 board. Each board would have different instructions but they all use the same speeduino firmware. I would recommend starting with a board called "UA4C", then wire it in like you would any other stand alone. I just cut the stock ECU connector off the stock harness. Lots and lots of info on the forum and facebook groups.

    Ok after looking into this I still don't see where you get the ms41.3 definitions. And under speed density it says "Speed Density has been loosely tested to not function properly so it is not considered a usable feature." So I don't trust it

    If your car (E36 S52) is not boosted, NA with mods, larger MAF, M50 intake, full length headers, no cats, are you still suggesting not to stick with the stock ECU. Or does that comment only apply to boosted applications. At some point I want to switch to more aggressive cams and higher flow injectors.

    Ive got ms41.3 on my boosted m50 and would definitely recommend it over ms41.0. Its still a budget option at the end of the day but it makes things a lot easier when it comes to getting the car setup and driving for road tuning ect. It would be pretty cool if they got speed density working but even then, target afrs and extended tables make it worth it imo. Ign cut limiter, boost control and flex fuel are pretty sweet too. There is pretty good support for it in the bmw tuning discord, people have made some good base maps for different m/s5x variants which also makes things a bit easier. Its free and easy to flash so would recommend trying it if you have a stock ecu

    You're kidding right I like the picture of the old Elvis Church it used to be in Apache land before they burned that down to build houses if you want a few more miles down the road Vista Point in the trail you can walk and if you follow all those different trails you'll see many agrees out there where people buried loved ones many years ago not from the 1800s hang out there for a while at night beaches out there by World Of Tweakers go or go to Fish Creek you can find more paranormal World they have all the murders in the old part of Phoenix the room that area a lot there's a nice used to be an active well out there but with all the recent building in the past 20 years the wells dry now too bad or try going the fish creek I have better luck😂

    I know you went with VEMS for the improved resolution of the MAF tables. Is this something that could also be addressed with the porsche or 540i 3.5 MAF or does it take a combination of the 2 to get good control over your air fuel setting. I see a couple of tuners who continue to sell tunes with matched injectors and mafs fairly successfully in the 500/600HP range.

    No, I went with a standalone ecu for speed density. You can certainly buy one of these stock dme maf tunes but honestly Drivability wise they never run right. I think it's better just to get a megasquirt plug and play or VEMS. It's worth the extra couple hundred dollars in the long run. Especially if you actually want to drive your car

    If i am turbocharging my car. Do I still have to have the factory narrowband and wideband in the downpipe ? Is it possible to send the ecu the analog data from the wideband to factory o2 sensor wire

    You would need to wire in a serial connection off the wideband with two wires then get a serial to USB cable. Then in romraider there's a drop down menu at the top to select a wideband to log

    The DME cannot use the wideband sensor at all. Closed loop fueling is always controlled by the stock narrowband so you'd need both. There is a table that tells the ecu to switch between open and closed loop (based on load) but it's not all that reliable. This is why I would highly suggest just using a standalone ecu with speed density. Megasquirt or VEMS plug and play are my two choices

    Thanks for these videos. Im having hard time to keep my car running on idle in open loop and only by pumping gas it will not stall and this video help a bunch to understand it. I thought that it could be vacuum leak but I try to change some things to see if it will make difference. I will try this and see if it works! In closed loop it runs as it should.

    Love the video and tips. Best thing that cut my lap times on the touge was proper throttle control, a lot of people (including me) hit the gas out of turns or hairpins way too late, once I fixed that I cut seconds off my runs

    Where is the evidence? Talk of aliens, reptilians, dwarves, elementals, trolls, mothmen like creatures, among others. Sure is a crap ton of entities! So where's the videos? Photos? Send in a whole platoon of people at once for safety with high end camera equipment on a livestream. Or a bunch of drones with the same setup. If this stuff is true, given the plethora of paranormal entities, it should be very easy to capture evidence.
