I first went to Thailand 42 years ago lived there at times holidays at other times never had the trouble you've had in your short time get out it's not for you .

Generally, if you’re being sued and you haven’t been charged by the police, it’s a personal matter! Which means jail time is null and void as it’s a personal case not an offence that you got charged with.

Greg be careful mate. I had a land dispute on my wife’s land where a neighbour built a temporary structure on the driveway. I carefully pulled the structure down and placed it back on their land. I did no damage and there was no words spoke in anger. Next day I was arrested for criminal damage and had my passport confiscated and was told they are going to court which could take months. I quickly settled and decided to apologise and pay Bt 10,000. Was I happy of course not ( I was seriously angry and disappointed with myself) but I realise months later that I made a good decision and didn’t choose a fight I might not win. The outcome was I live to fight another day with my passport in tact and no criminal record. Odds are not I your favour and more than likely they have already arranged your fate and already arranged to pay the boys in blue a percentage or a cash advance and settlement. Just my feelings on this matter. Best wishes whatever you choose to do.

Trouble is Thailand is heavily weighted against farangs.
It is easy to say by someone sitting at home or in his office, IMHO he should get back to Australia then bide his time till he has access to his superannuation then go back to Thailand or somewhere else and start again.

Thailand is a great place if you just don't get involved with your money and the Thais. You can't do business with Thai people. It's like oil and water! It just doesn't work.

I'm amazed you're still here; not sure why you are, that's your choice. All I do know is this cannot be good for you mentally or physically, so you need to start looking at the benefits of making a new start. I've been in a similar situation, and until I broke free I didn't realise how stressed out I was and the effect it had on me mentally.

They are hustling you. They make it up and you are supposed to pay the police to make it go away. Stop playing by their rules. Play by your rules. You issue a few writs. Give them it back.
Submit a letter to the court that you wanted an intrusion on police record & it got misunderstood in translation
Frankly I think there is a lot more going on than just a translation error.

I hope you have it in writing what you agreed with the lawyer. Usually a bond must be lodged to cover court costs. I've not heard you mention this. There is nothing to stop your lawyer doing a deal with your opponents for a settlement for themselves. Your putting a lot of faith in a Pattaya lawyer to work in your best interest. I hope you don't end up in more financial trouble.

He sent the file to a ‘mate’ back in Australia, who put it on KZread against his wishes. The KZread channel is called Rusty Crotch . The picture his ‘mate’ uses, bears an uncanny resemblance to a 10 year old picture of his friend Palmy . They must be close mates. Brothers from another mother? if it was a real mate, they wouldn’t have loaded it without his permission first, and even if his mate did load it without his permission, he would take it down if Mr Palmy asked him too. Even if it was a mate of a mate of a mate, it would get taken down if asked. Body language is a good indicator if someone is telling the truth or being deceptive, watch where the eyes go when he talks. And don’t get me started when he ends a statement with blah blah blah……… I was initially backing this bloke to the hilt, but when someone continually plays the victim in problems he creates, it did sap my will to reach out and help. I wish him all the best and will be happy to buy the bloke a few beers if he gets thru this, I feel the odds are against him tho.
