See the world from a pilot's perspective with our captivating aviation documentaries & aviation videos.
I love aviation and I've been standing next to active runways since I was a little kid. I spent my vacations travelling around the world visiting as many airports as I could afford. I LOVE the smell of JET A1 and burnt rubber from the runway...and coffee!
In my KZread channel you will find a mix of aviation videos. Sometimes full cockpit videos of great airlines I have been fortunate to work with, sometimes nice classic aviation videos filmed a long time ago, brought back to life on KZread.
I also LOVE visiting airports around the world so of course there will be some runway action for you as well.
I also have loads of trailers of the full movies available on my website: www.vikingwings.com/
Check my channel and Subscribe if you want more aviation on KZread!

Those old B-737's look small now, compared to the modern B-737 Max.
what's "SARD" system? or its just like cabin air pressure monitoring?
I bet there is nothing working in The cargo hold 😂 scrapping the floor with the ULDs which I used to Do on there A300B4 600 at Heathrow 😂 The cargo door B747 SP function is in the belly Of the aircraft like the B767
Yes i do , and Boeing,Airbus ,but F100 is a very friendly acft,love it. 2:51
Flight engineer looks like grandpa In the monster’s😂
The flight engineer must be in Panic mode because of redundancy.
Why does Iranian airlines still use old school airbuses?
747 SP Cargo door operation is under the Belly as compared to the 100 20O 300 And 400.
I am from Malaysia
Great job Cap. I had been flew with Iran air from Tehran to Dubai, see you again
Watching this in 2024 ❤❤❤
I’m from iran and haven’t seen any plane spotting in iran
It's not easy. Happy you found my videos. Thanks for watching 👍
Nice 😍
They should have stuck with the flying carpet, it's safer.
Flying in the stoneage - welcome to Iran.
They are called the classics 💪🤗
Tha Captain has been very good by congratulating the first office at the landing (very good). Such rainy conditions, at Ethiopian Airlines, only the Captain should kand the plane as per their procedure. At KQ, it seems different.
That cockpit looks cleaner and newer than our 737s
Great video. The quality looks very recent, but the planes OY-KKS and LN-RPE (-600) tells me that is at lest 22 years old. Fun to watch.
Thank you. Happy to hear you enjoyed it. It was filmed back in 2010/2011. 👍
What is the date?
This video was filmed back in 2010 👍
How did you manage to obtain a flight with Nolinor?
14:05 FO or CPT : "oh il répondent jamais ces cons là d'accord laisses tomber !" french politesse toward mauritius crew ATC !😮
VERY PROFESSIONAL CREW..THANKS FOR THE VIDEO..
”Time flies” 😊
Oh yes 😜👍
Very nice landing, but the captain made an error during landing checklist. At 1:48:56 he confirms that speed brake is ARMED. But later 1:50:28 at touchdown we see that in fact speed brake was not armed, and he had to deploy it manually when he noticed it wasn't armed.
Is the right seat a check airman?
On this flight no. They were just 2 experienced captains on the same flight.
i remember this treatment way back flying in the 747-200 going to the Philippines, mainly i fly coach but i flew business class a couple of times in the mid 90s using my miles and the service and food was amazing. This service reminds me alot of my experience when i flew on northwest frequently. We even had good meal service in coach for domestic flights. What has happened now to this especially in the USA and Canada is it just greed?
Yeah, it sure was better back then, wasn't it. Unfortunately not only in the US, everywhere... Proper meal service is rare these days... Thanks for watching!
Nice catch 👍
Thank you very much! Always welcome with a few extra charter flights. Thanks for watching!
If there was a flight engineer , the german wings aircraft might not have crashed
Who knows...maybe you are right...
Definitely better safe plane than Boeing 737 max
fantastic trip
Yes it was!
That ultra retro FMC with green font
👍
These airplanes are very old and unsecure to fly with. Almost none carrier is using AB 300/310 .
They are old, that is correct. But I disagree when you say they are unsafe. The sanctions are truly a challenge for them and they work hard to keep them airworthy.
First time watching - enjoyed the Captain explaining his approach - nice landing - I learned more about Sweden as well .
Welcome! Happy to hear you found us and enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching 👍🤗
Nice one 👍✈️
Thank you Shaun 👍
Hey, from Minnesota, where many Norwegians settled in the 1800s!
Hi, and many Swedes too.... Thanks for watching!
Yes! Many Swedish settled here as well. My house was built by a Swedish carpenter in 1935 and was well constructed! A lot of Scandinavian influence here in the twin cities.
@@nokoman85 sounds like I would need to visit one day. Never been to that part of the US. Yet 😜
@VikingWings, and I need to visit Sweden and Norway. I really would like to fly on SAS Airlines. BTW, I am an aircraft technician and worked on the Saab 340 turboprop aircraft. What a bird!
Come on over 👍 I guess you have already watched my video on The Saab 340? kzread.info/dash/bejne/rJZpmo-zgriXf6g.html
Thanx for sharing. FE is when I worked in USAF C141 1979 to 84.
Very cool!
Thank you for sharing! Captain Mapulanga is my father. Now retired after flying for 45 years!
What a stellar career he’s had
Oh How Nice. I loved flying with him. Please give him my best regards. 🤗
My Dad, in his element.
thanks for the vidio...and thanks capt shirzad and 1st officer....well done.
Thank you for watching. And yes a BIG thank you to Captain Shirzad and the crew for helping me while filming this video.
More like this
I will try 👍
I'm interested to know how Iran Air gets spare components and engine maintenance for such an old aircraft. There are hardly any shops left that provide JT9D maintenance, or provide new or used engine parts.
That is indeed a challenge for them.
Truly an amazing Boeing Aircraft here. My career outline, I first started on dc9's in 1993-2000 with about 4900 hrs. Next i lucked out and found an opening, so i transferred aircraft's retrained on the 747 accumulating roughly 4200 hrs on the 200's from 2000 to 2006 as co pilot. I continued on the 400 series afterwards and picked up an additional 6500 hrs until about 2015. Total 747 hrs just shy of 11000hrs. Nowadays im currently flying the new a330-900neo. There will always be a place in my heart for the queen of the skies and this video just brought back old memories at northwest. Thanks for sharing this
Wow, that's a great career. Thanks for sharing and I am happy to hear you like the video 👍
Fantastic airline with a glamorous background and super beautiful logo❤
Indeed a very classic and classy logo 👍
VIKING TO THE SKIES. WATCHING FROM KENYA
