    There used to be reviews on it. But youtube refuses to show you them now. No idea why. But I remember watching them when I bought mine. You used imige stabilization on a tripod? That makes this all pointless.

    You can thank little miss front desk for this story. I was at the gas station across the street a day or so before. Some idiot came in a little high. He approached me and started touching my bag. I told him to stop. He said, "I ain't scared of you, b.... where's your man." I ignored him and tried to remove myself from the situation. He got loud kept calling me that word and kept screaming, "Where's your man at. Where's your man." I got in my car and left the premises.

    Thanks for this video. My tripod collapsed and I destroyed a $1000+ lens. I thought it was user error but it happened again today - luckily nothing broke this time. Pretty angry at Peak Design, but appreciate your video a lot.

  • @tourinojacks5844
    @tourinojacks58447 ай бұрын

    @@sethc.art.wrightWOW that is interesting. I wonder why they marketed a brand new version of it. Perhaps they changed the glass due to manufacturing reasons so they had to rename it and increase the price you think? Perhaps I will rethink and reconsider the first version as I need to buy one right now for my new 6D mark ii. 🤔

  • @sethc.art.wright
    @sethc.art.wright7 ай бұрын

    @@tourinojacks5844 Yeah the EF versions are similar. I think they upgraded some of the glass in the version II but it's not crazy different. Sometimes it's just small things they change. The RF version has stabilization which is really nice for video.

    I just got v1 non-IS a week ago for my daughter's dance gala/show, which had difficult-ish lighting. I run an R7, and my only wide range lense is a Sigma 18-300 f3.5-6.3 with an AF motor that seems to miss focus a lot. My results were fantastic. I've never had such sharp shots. But the best part, I got it used in good condition...$850(CAN). I did a little shopping around, I can only find it for around $1100. The only thing I'm missing is the lense hood and cap.

    My very first time using the tripod…I took it out one night to capture the northern lights and because the legs slipped, I couldn’t catch my camera on time and my Sony 50mm broke into pieces. I thought it was my fault at first but when I got home, I checked everything and it was the tripod that wasn’t tight. I was so upset that I spent so much on a damn tripod but it didn’t even last me and it broke my lens. I threw that piece of shit out… wish I would have seen this video first 😊

    Dude I am so sorry about your lens! That is so sad my friend. I'm so sorry. It also fell on me once but luckily there was no damage. It was after that I realized I needed to do something about this because it is such an expensive tripod. So it was actually really easy to see that you can tighten the joints, you just have to make sure to check it every once in a while. Hope you have a new lens and still getting out there.

    How do you deal with the warping that occurs at 24mm the farther away the object is from the center?

  • @sethc.art.wright
    @sethc.art.wright Жыл бұрын

    I either accept it or try to make it look normal in lightroom. I’ve been loving the 15-35mm and just accept the warp. It’s the aesthetic of the lens and I don’t care about it too much. But there are ways to edit it in lightroom to bring it back to look normal.

    @@sethc.art.wright I find it's okay as long as the subject is near the center. Once they get closer to the edge however it starts to significantly warp their head. Lens correction in PS doesn't fix it either.
