    I have a 1999 3.0 v6 and I’ve heard there’s more than 2 types of the camshaft sensor. I know it’s the part number P0340 but is there more than one type of camshaft sensor?

    Did the wiring harness come with the radio or did you have to get it separate

  • @partsandprojects
    @partsandprojectsАй бұрын

    The radio comes with a harness. The second harness to connect to the factory connectors is purchased separately. If you purchase from crutchfield they include both harnesses

    Is it the same process for rear brakes?

  • @partsandprojects
    @partsandprojectsАй бұрын

    rear brakes have an electronic parking brake which will need to be reset with a bidirectional scan tool

  • @carlosa2540
    @carlosa2540Ай бұрын

    There’s a way to do it without the scan tool, all you need is a 2 inch wire. Look up the video on how to do it, it’s super easy. Just got done doing all brakes and rotors on my NX

    Where or how do you purge it to make sure all the air is out of the system?

  • @partsandprojects
    @partsandprojects27 күн бұрын

    Start the car with the cap off to purge air out of the system. Leave cap off until thermostat has open, refill as needed.

    Would you recommend removing the thermostat and reconnecting everything, adding coolant flush/cleaner to radiator and running for a while to do a good flush of the system?

  • @partsandprojects
    @partsandprojects2 ай бұрын

    If you choose to do a coolant flush, after adding it to the radiator you will need to drain the coolant and fill it with new coolant. It is always good to do fluid changes especially if the coolant is old and dirty.

    Nice! & Yeah $800! It was a heck of a deal, the guy told me the transmission was going out because there was some gnarly vibration, but it was just the u joints. I replaced those, fixed some other things on the 4Runner but nothing major.

    First of all, excuse my poor english, i'm not from usa, i have and 05 ranger 3.0 and sometimes it starts like a charm even not letting me release the key from the start position, other times y could crank 10,15, 20 seconds and nothing, but when this happens i close de ignition switch, open it again and then start again it will run great, and other times it turn on the engine but with a rough idle, for like 5 to 15 seconds.... it may be the cam synchro? thanks in advance for your time and knowledge! p.d i`m thinking on replacing the cam syncrho or ckp, or both , I al ready replace the coilpack ( months ago)i'm thinking it could be too but idk, my mechanic can`t find the problem, i`m also thinking it could be a defective coilpack, because it recently also start cutting the rpms (idk how to say it, but it`s when it stops revving and then start reving on and on at certaing rpms 4k)

    Do you have any codes? Check engine light

  • @partsandprojects
    @partsandprojects8 ай бұрын

    When the car is idleing rough does the check engine light flash? These motors are notorious for issues with exhaust valves pitting into the head. I would conduct a leak down test before going any further
