I'm diabetic and I always make my own pizza. I make the crust with whole wheat flour. It doesn't spike my blood sugar like the white flour.

Sincere question (sorry for Novel John and Renae and Comm.). How do you keep the pizza from having sand on the bottom, or ashes baked in? Like eating potatoes with out all the dirt off, or when you eat Clam Chowder, and you crunch on sand from the clam?
we wash the oven floor and there never gets sand in it. You do get a few ashes but then again it is wood fired. Come on down for a visit and you will see how we do this.

Yes I keep them covered.
I used to make pizza's with my Panasonic bread machine...dough setting. the problem was the crust end🍕, was like eating a half of a bagel for each piece! LOL
Those pizzas looked so good. My favorite is a Supreme Pizza.
