    Thank you. What substrate are you working on and which cold wax medium are you using? Also can cold wax be used over a paper collage?

    Great questions! I'm working on Arches Oil paper and using Gamblin Cold Wax Medium. You can use cold wax over paper collage - best if you first coat it with a clear gesso like Liquitex clear gesso for best adhesion :)

    I’m in oil paneer and pastel us and I’ve been watching your channel and I feel my heart goes abstract so I bought myself some acrylic paints and some cold wax medium and I’ve been working in small 12 x 12 abstracts what a thrill what a joy and so hard but thank you

    Wow, Pamela, that is a really lovely piece. I was liking the shiny finish, but I absolutely LOVE the end result and the end finish. I have been wanting to figure out how to do an encaustic-like finish on acrylic paint, so if you every do a video on that end finish that would be great to see!

Merci encore.

    Love when you verbally critique your own works. It’s very humbling and show that each piece is really n ever done! Each time I see one of my works a year or two later I say to myself “ shoulda coulda woulda!!!!!” I’m ok with it because I know that I’m growing just as yourself Pamela you have a ton of confidence compared to some of your first videos!!!! Great job your doing, you should be proud!

    In case this helps anyone - I have a set of these Paul DeMarrais Oil stick and agree they are great. However, once you have stored them for a while, even in the plastic tubes, they will also form a skin you have to cut off. At least, that has been my experience.

    Is there another word for pigment sticks? Not like oil pastels, right❓

  • @lkd06
    @lkd0623 күн бұрын

    Some companies call them oil bars or oil sticks. They are not pastels. They are oil paint in stick form

  • @PamelaCaughey
    @PamelaCaughey23 күн бұрын

    So R&F makes pigment sticks, and the DeMarrais ones are Oil Sticks - I'm not sure there is a concrete naming convention to these types of products - oil pastels are drier than either the R&F pigment sticks or the oil sticks!
