The Classic would have felt out of place at the fancy restaurant when you were wearing a Triumph 👕. Personally, I'd have went to the fancy restaurant. They probably would have served everything that was on "your" menu. Sometimes standing out in a crowd is a good thing. One time going through a very small western town I found a little restaurant surrounded by pickup trucks. I was dressed in black leathers and looking like a black Angus steer. They all were wearing cowboy hats 🤠🤠 and boots. I was the focus of attention as I walked through the door., BUT breakfast was grand and so was the local gossip.

Great to hear that you’re enjoying the channel 👍 As for the pannier mounts used on this trip, there a combination of parts. The panniers are Givi items from my Triumph Tiger 900. As Givi do not make a pannier fitting kit for this bike I had to make my own. Full details of how I did this can be found in two of my earlier videos, see links to them below. Hope this helps. No real idea what my before mileage was, but on my recent tour of “The Wild Atlantic Way”, 1,600 miles it averaged over 95 mpg. Pretty impressive in my opinion, this was sitting between 50 and 60 mph most of the time. My bike is performing very well, it’s probably done around 4,000 to 5,000 miles since the camshaft was fitted. Trouble fee 😁👍

Trying to get my nephew to buy one of those RE 350 bikes. He currently runs around on a Honda Cub 90cc. Wants something that can do 99% back/main roads, 1% highway. Think these, or a 411cc would be perfect. Easy to work on and parts are not Honda pricing.

Hi Michael Great to hear that you enjoyed the video 👍 I’ve now done 9,000 miles on my bike with many long touring days. My experience of the screen is mixed. I like running in good weather without the screen as the airflow is clean and the ride enjoyable. But for longer runs I nearly always have the screen on. It does make the ride a bit noisier but it also gives protection from the wind and rain. I’ve probably done 8,000 miles with the screen and 1,000 miles without it. It’s easy to take on and off, as are many parts on this bike. It’s a great wee bike to tour with, I’m sure you’re going to love it 🏍️😁

I've watched all your Royal Enfield related videos and feel, out of courtesy, after viewing this one, that now is a good time to give you the credit you deserve and thank you for your efforts. I love the pace and tone of your delivery, the subjects you cover and the way you make it feel like a one-to-one conversation. Travel-wise your Wild Atlantic Way trip meant a lot to me, especially around the Doolough area in Connemara. It is a very spiritual and historical place and brought back memories of being there in my teens in the 70s on my beloved Honda 175cc, a picture of which appears here too. I go back there every few years and find the same peace I did on my first visit. Please make sure you get to see it on a sunshine filled day, it will blow your mind. I am now only months away from my 70th birthday and have just completed the first 500 km on my month-old RE Bullet Classic 350. I'm looking forward to a few more years of riding accompanied by your very enjoyable videos. Take care and ride safe.

Hi John It’s great to hear that you’re enjoying my Classic 350 videos and hopefully they’re inspiring you to enjoy your Bulletin to the full. In the very early 70’s my first ever new bike was a Honda CD175, absolutely loved that bike and traveled all over Scotland on it. I’m 70 now, but the wee Enfield takes me back to those early days exploring on the Honda. I never thought when I purchased this bike, that it would bring me so much joy, especially as it’s the slowest, simplest and cheapest of my three bikes. It’s also the one that’s responsible for the growth of this KZread channel, and all the fabulous feedback that I’ve received from so many viewers such as yourself. Thank you for telling me your story, hopefully one day I’ll be back in Connemara on a sunny day and take in its full beauty. Enjoy your Bullet and the many adventures you’ll have together. Cheers T.N.

Recently fitted springs to my bike too using a very similar method to yours. Royal Enfield’s instructions for fitting this decorative-only part to the bike are massively over-complicated and unnecessary. It would be a different story if the springs were functional of course but they’re not. This method is also much better if swapping seat units (standard seat to lower or touring seat) as the only thing to do is to unbolt the spring from the existing seat base and bolt it to the new seat. Simples! Having said that I did remove my mudguard to wax protect the underside with Bilt Hamber and can confirm it does come off really easily 😂

Yes they are great little bikes. I had a Honda CBF1000 that I took for an mot at our Royal Enfield dealership. On the way there thought I don't need this big bike any more ( I am 80) so while the mot was being done I took a 350 classic for a test ride and I was delighted with it. I placed an order for a new 350 and luckily sold my Honda straight away. That was two years ago and I have never regretted it. Of course the 350 is not for fast motorways but ideal for pottering around the Lincolnshire Wolds and quiet lanes as I do and have made a few videos of my rides.

I have rhe Hunter and the Classic.Waiting for the Meteor Aurora Blue to arrive.I have the cam sitting waiting until I get some miles up on the Hunter. My Hunter hits 86mph in standard trim, I weigh only 52 kgs.I am interested to hear your thoughts on the recently available big bore kits.I'll probably get the 410cc kit.I'm tempted to get the 500cc kit { mapable ECU required for this kit} but i'm thinking it might be asking too much of the engine.I would value your opinion on this.Love your videos.Hitchkocks should at the very least offer you their products for free.Your cam video is clear and precise.Hitchkocks video on cam instalation is as clear as mud.Keep up the good work and keep the great videos coming.Much appreciated.

Hi Alan It’s great to hear that you enjoyed my video and hopefully have found it useful. I’ve been looking at the big bore kit as well, definitely looks interesting. The 410 should be perfect for the bike but if you’re going to go this far then the 500 is tempting. My bike is still restricted due to the ECU, I have tried the RLT00187 but it’s not compatible with the Classic 350. It’s a very strong and reliable engine so it should be able to take the power increase ok. I’m on the fence with this one and waiting to see how it works out with other owners, plus I really don’t tend to ride my bike hard very much, I use my bigger bikes for that. Sounds like you’re building a fantastic fleet of J series Enfield’s, all the best TN

Great video as usual! The right method for the O2 sensor without "torturing" the cable 👏

Great to hear that you enjoyed my video and hopefully found useful. I no longer have this exhaust system fitted to my bike, it was far too loud for me. The bike is now fitted with the standard silencer and a decat pipe..
