This channel is the KZread end of the LaserActive Preservation Project (LAP Project), an effort to video-document all Pioneer LaserActive games, as well as any LaserActive-related media. Since emulation of the Pioneer LaserActive is unlikely at best, this unique platform will be lost to time if nothing is done to preserve its place in video game history. Here at the LAP Project, we decided to do the next best thing - capture extensive video footage of every LaserActive game we can find. This channel will provide said video footage in a streaming form, with download links to uncompressed files provided in video descriptions.
If you have a Mega-LD disc (we are currently working on obtaining an NEC module for our player) that we don't, and you're willing to lend/sell it to the LAP Project for video backup, please contact us at [email protected]
Thanks for watching!

I still don't know why someone made this game.
BRO 👀👌😂 Finally my vision Thursday-Friday brought to the screen.
06:27 ohh London Bridge in 1993. I was confused for s sec read the in game text as it mentions Trafalgar Square
È un botto figo però sembra un cartone anime
I'm so old now
Thanks for the upload. The swish pan at 2:40 does not appear to exist in other versions. Could @LAPProject tell me if this is part of their recorded version, or if this was added by Tom Porter? I'm attempting to determine whether or not there were different releases of this game.
This is totally what it looks like in a Pyramid.
Wow a fun LA game.
グラフィック、綺麗ですね♪
Imagine what Night Trap would have been like if it released on this system looool.
Far better video quality, but that's about it. The "game" doesn't offer much.
These are so good. Please never remove them.
Ha. Amazing. Thank you so much for preserving all this obscure LD media, and uploading videos of it. I know it will create even longer upload times, but if you upres the video (even with just nearest neighbor scaling), KZread will allot more bandwidth even when watching it at 480, and won't utterly destroy it with its compression. I never upload 480 at 480.

I never even knew this existed before today.
I know its a long shot, but is any audio from this game ripped anywhere?
The music in this game is cool tho, especially on the intro sequence. Oddly bittersweet i dare say
This is awesome x3
This reminds me of 'The Magical Dinosaur Tour' for Turbografx CD
“Oddity Archive” brought me here
The 3DO version is better
このゲームの元はチャンツェストーンと言う名前でデーターイーストというゲーム会社から企画制作されたものです。残念ながらこの会社からは世にでることができず、セガに権利を渡して世にでることができました、
I come back to this video at least once a year - it's one of my favorite things to exist in the world. Thank you for uploading this!

hello I am all that matters
reminds me of Novastorm
11:13 es increible
It’d be awesome if you could transplant the comb filter and laser from a Hi-Vision player, then RGB mod this thing (RGB for the Sega/NEC graphics, but S-Video for the LaserDisc side of things.) Using a game genie to force the game to run in 480i might enable crisp visuals too.
We saw many kind of clone of that on saturn or play, game like torico or D and mystery mansion, but on laserdisc it's very brave to build a dungeon crawler RPG like that, a ld could store a lot of still picture they could do more if this media was cheaper and widespread VHD disc was also interactive but not as good than that.
28:35 So, uh… this happens. That’s fun.
Hey are you in LA , my buddy has a massive pioneer collection. Would love to talk pioneer laseractive with you
Don Quixote: Crystal Ball Z
Isn't this just Strahl 2.0?
This was before Strahl actually. Strahl is a (3Do) re-release of this initial game. This one seems to have better graphics reading and less lags than the 3Do version though, which is so strange tbh. 😅
I feel so bad for whoever paid $120 (in the 1990s mind you) for a "game" comprised of nothing but quick time events.
Not to mention that this game has a silent protagonist with a sword, and a villain who wants to get 3 of a magical thing in order to achieve ultimate power (Gee, where have I heard that before?...)
Will you ever upload this in a higher quality?
It's 480 native. No point going higher.
@@subliminalvibes It is only 655 megabytes for 1:40:43

how did you do it can you share with me , thank you
Did you ever get to the casino ?
The problem with FMV games is that they are extremely limited in terms of what can be done gameplay wise, so this game is quite the marvel. Usually they come in one of only three categories: Shooters, quicktime event and trivia. This is the very rare 4th category of FMV game where they actually tried to make something that feels like an actual *real* game (rather then simply a film with button inputs tacked on.) This game is still very, very limited of course, but this is pretty much the most you can possibly do with an FMV game. They took it to it's absolute limit as far as gameplay in an FMV game goes, and whoever developed it deserves major props for that! The sad thing is that this very cool achievement was only released on the LaserActive. If only it had been released on PS1, Saturn, or even Sega CD it may very well have ended up being considered a bit of a hidden gem.
Similar work are present on cdi. An example is Escape

Do you footage of Virtual Cameraman?
Looks cool!
This would be perfect with the 3D googles
Man, what a shame the SFX of the background video were baked into the BGM. If there could be a way to contact Yasuhito Saito and get this OST released somehow, maybe as arranged tunes... It's like Rayxanber IV, hot damn I love this keyboard driven style. Plus, well, giant robots is always awesome!
Am I always thinking the Castle Grayskull at 4:51?

Man I had this system when I was a kid attached to an RCA 80 inch Proscan tv. OOOHHH man was that awesome at the time...But I have to admit whoever did the voices for this game, especially the "Delta Platoon leader", definitely sounds like in real life his mother buys him a new pocket protector every year for Christmas...
Cheers to having played this system on big screens! My dad had a home theater business and playing this in a legit theater was intense!
