Carnival is the BEST! Get yer PaRtY oN!🍹
Cheers! 🍻
I lived there in '78.. And there was a great deal more to enjoy.. Things where starting to 'thin out' by the early 2000's.. Thing were "jump'n" in the late '70s.. Those were the days.. 😊
Wish we could have seen it then!
We are leaving for Seattle for our cruise on August 1st, simply can't wait! We have rented a car in Skagway to do exactly what you did in this beautiful video. How long did it take you round trip with all your stops? We have to be back to town for a waterfall excursion by 2:30, I don't want to miss that either! So much to see in such a short time! Thank you in advance for your help!
That’s awesome! We picked up our rental car right at the port when we got off of the ship. It was exactly 8:30 AM. We dropped off the car at 4 pm. Our adventure would have taken less time if we did a few less pullover stops for photos, or a little less time at Caribou Crossing. Since our ship was in port longer, we took our time. Every turn had a new beautiful view that we had to stop and take pictures of! Let us know if you have any other questions! We are happy to help!
i am not sure what it is called. but did you try what looks like a giant cream puffs at the cafe??? i heard it is really good
Yes! They are so good!!
you 2 make a lovely couple
Thank you so much! ❤
Nice video but for myself, I will have to take an excursion.
Excursions are great options too! This particular trip was an 11 day sailing and we had a lot of ports. We decided to skip excursions on the ports that were walkable. This port/city definitely has walkability for those interested!
Do you know if you can order gluten free options through the app?
I’m sorry, I don’t remember. If they have gluten free options in the Dive In, then you would be able to order them!
Thanks for the great video! Was this an option on the Koningsdam? Trying to figure out timing. Thanks!
Yes it was. We booked it directly from Holland America for a Koningsdam sailing.
Sailed on her in April 2024 in a Aft Neptune. We loved the ship so much we booked an 18 Hawaii trip in Jan 2025. We enjoy HAL. Thanks for sharing
That’s amazing! We love the pinnacle class ships also! Thank you for watching!
👌👌👌👌👌👌🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴☀☀☀☀ love st thomas and magens bay
Nice Cruise vlog. Magens Bay is gorgeous
Thanks!!
Loved this video! Thank you so much for your detailed explanation of the trip as well as tips and ideas for this excursion! We just rented our car for our Late June cruise to Skagway. ❤🏔
Thank you so much for your comment! We love getting messages like this! You’re going to have an amazing time!❤
Am I the only one who got sea sick from how choppy this video was?
Thanks for this 🙏! I’m going to visit Williamsburg for VA Garden Week and was specifically interested in this lower level room. My mom has special dietary needs l, so having a kitchen will be a game changer. You did a nice job covering all the details I wanted to see.
Thanks for watching! Have a great time!
Going to be booking this Resort April or May thanks for the video
Hope you enjoy it!
How many people just skipped to the end
That’s what we add the chapters for. So you can skip to the parts you’re interested in 😉
Bingo sounded like it was hosted by Thomas. Great guy.
It was! We loved him!!!!
Theres plugs under bed, thats how the lamps are plugged in, u need an adapter
Looks...outdated
It was very spacious and comfortable. It has granite counter with stainless steel appliances. And at least the are white comforters instead of old outdated floral print covers & curtains 😂. It’s not the most modern, but was very comfortable for a week stay and we’d be willing to stay there again.
Thank you for the tour, we will be leaving for 8 days in august for Norway, Sweden and Denmark on the Rotterdam. We are really looking forward to it, it will be the first time in an interior for my husband. I'm curious to see how it will work out. But hey...it's a cruise, what can go wrong.... ⚓🤣😂
We really enjoy the interior cabins! We don’t spend much time in there as it is. We like how dark it gets when we want to take a nap. Have a wonderful cruise!
How long did the drive take?
We were in port from 7:30 AM to 8 PM. We took our time getting off the ship though and got to our rental car at 9:30 in the morning. We dropped it off at 4:45. We also took a lot of extra time pulling over and taking photos. It can be done quicker if needed!
6:5 or 3:2 blackjack ? Double 0 or triple 0 roulette ?
I'm a Vincentian living in the US for over 30 years, and I remember visiting Montreal Gardens when I was living at home. Very beautiful place. At that time it was owned by the Brisbanes...I wonder if they still own it?
The gentleman we spoke with, said that he purchased the land along time ago, and it was just brush back then. He cut it all back and did all of the planting himself.
@@ThereToHereTravels Unless the man you spoke to is one of Brisbane's relatives, he's not being honest. He may have bought more lands and expanded it, but Montreal Gardens was always a beautiful place. I had a friend who owned a restaurant in Kingstown, and most Saturdays we would drive out to Montreal to buy flowers for her restaurant...they used to grow the most beautiful Anthurian (sp)Lilies. My Brisbane also supplied the banks and other businesses with weekly flowers.
I can’t watch footage right now because we’re on a cruise, but I believe he said he made it in the 70s. Maybe it was earlier. Does that sound right? I can double check and get back to you after we return next week. He might even mention it when he’s speaking around the 12:30 minute mark of the video. It won’t play because our internet isn’t that good here.
@@ThereToHereTravels No, I left SVG in the 80's and that Garden was already a destination for beauty and tranquility for a lot of people, and it was well maintained. IIRC, there was even a small river running through it. So unless the man you spoke to is Mr. Brisbane...and I can't imagine he is still alive...then he's not telling the truth. I will ask one of my friends in SVG if he is still alive, and if he is, God Bless him because he would be in his 90's now and still getting around. That would be the only thing that makes sense, or one of his children or family member is running it. If you could find out the gentleman's name that would be awesome. Enjoy your cruise...I'm sure the weather is beautiful as usual...and HOT, lol.
@@dianad1968 thank you!!
which month was this?
Around the third week of May.
Hi, thanks for the information it was great. I read online they only take credit cards or cash no debit cards for parking. Do you know if this is true?
I’m sorry, I don’t know that information. Sorry, we can’t help! Thank you for watching!
@@ThereToHereTravels no problem thank you
@@jeannaelawrence1532 you’re welcome!
Nice video! Thanks for sharing. Looks like a wonderful place to explore! Enjoyed watching! 🙂💞
Thank you!
You check off the number of each items in your laundry so they can do quality control to make sure you get the same number of items back.
It made sense after we did it, but I didn't know at the time. Now we do! Thanks!!
Old people sail away party
It's the only sailaway party I've been to where they give away a bunch of free stuff! We had fun!
Amazon surprise box stores are also great🎉
Sounds fun!
Just finished a 22 day cruise on the Oosterdam. There was trivia 3 times a day.
Awesome! Our Koningsdam trip was when they were still recovering from the shut down. They didn’t have as much going on. We sailed with HAL again on the Rotterdam and it had a lot more activities! We sail on the Rotterdam again in 2 weeks! We can’t wait! We love HAL!
Very nice👍🏽
Thanks 😊
Good job. Do you use the kitchen on vacation? I mix it up. I keep simple food on hand, we try to eat out no more than once a day, and sometimes all the meals are out of the kitchen. I put my scale under my car seat. I never “diet” while on vacation, but I also don’t want to return with a surprise 5 pounds added. I always pack one good size reusable grocery bag with my kitchen essentials. I’m kind of fussy that way but it’s stilleasier than trying to lose 5 pounds.
Yes, we do use the kitchen a lot! We keep everything pretty simple. We cook food that’s easy but still considered a nice vacation treat. For us, calories don’t count on vacation. 🫣😂
Looks like you had a great time! Booked in April on the Rotterdam.
It was a blast! We are behind on editing, but lots more fun to share from that trip. We will be on Rotterdam again a month from today! Can’t wait!
Hey guys, stopping by to check out your channel from Instagram. Congrats on 700 Subscribers. Love the gardens.
Thank you so much!
I like the Myrtle Beach boardwalk better and Wildwood is just your classic, wonderful boardwalk.
Agreed!
Everybody seems to go to Orlando nowadays for rides and amusements like Icon Park or Old Town Kissiminee,I guess rides just don't have the appeal in Daytona anymore..@@ThereToHereTravels
I guess you are right. I wish they would do something else with the space. Maybe they can draw new visitors in.
Kings sushi is a local fave. My favorite is the Hawaii roll and the teriyaki chicken dinner, and the shrimp tempura appetizer, hands down
Jason loves the monkey roll and anything with mango. I love too many to name 😂. The teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura are both amazing! Thanks for watching!
I wonder if I can still walk the boardwalk at my age lol.
It’s not a difficult walk at all! Tried to look for an access point without stairs if you have difficulty with them.
glad you enjoyed my little island like 33
You and your family are adorable. I just subscribed ♥️
Awe! Thank you so much!
lol that won’t work with the third party that booked this cruise for us. There’s so many night owls and they will drink and eat all night! So that will not happen.
I’m happy to say that when we went on Holland America in March this year, it was a different experience. Places stayed open later than they had during this recording. Perhaps it was because it was still adjusting after Covid shut downs. I’m sure you’ll have a great time!
I had the botanical tour, and I must say the tour guide did not seem to give a lot of details about the plants. I was hoping he would tell you about the "ladies of the night" plant and what so special about it. Also, which perfume has it as an ingredient.
It beautiful.
Thank you! 😊 It really is!
Amazing tour of the botanical garden so beautiful 😎
Thank you!
fantastic trip ! thumbs up
Thank you so much!
Commenting after watching the first 4:30…. Getting into Canada without your passport is one thing. Fingers crossed for getting back into the US.
We got back in okay. The guy at the booth was shocked that they let us into Canada, but he just looked at our IDs and told us it was dangerous to stop and take pictures of the caribou that closely 😬. Then he sent us on our way! 😊
Nice video, glad you enjoyed my little island. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
Enjoyed your tour of Grenadine Gardens. Thanks 👍
My cousin went there to go to be a animal vet
That’s awesome! It’s such a beautiful place!
Thank you for sharing your lovely video ❤🇬🇧🙏🏽
