About me-
My name is Alessandra and I was born in Vico Equense, Naples. Vico Equense is a coastal town located between Pompeii and Sorrento. The area is called Peninsula Sorrentina. I live in the United States and travel to Italy every year.
I started my cooking channel so that I can pass on the recipes to my daughters. One day they’ll be able to carry on the traditions with authentic recipes I’ve learned from my Nona, mom, and aunts.
I hope all my recipes will bring you back to the foods you love and the memories of the past with Nona in the kitchen.

I am not Italian, but my mother had a dress shop next to this fablous Italian bakery. Whenever i went to the shop, i got the 'S' cookies, and they became a great part of my childhood. My mother has passed, and i moved these cookies. It brings me so much comfort and good memories. Thank you for the recipe ❤ i hope you're doing well ❤

I’ve tried this recipe many times however my dough is just too sticky. I’ve tried to add flour, but this makes the cookie a bit hard. When you say butter, you mean butter butter (or margarine?) Is 1 1/2 stick of butter really 165? I live in Portugal so we don’t have sticks of butter.
@@vanessagasparvieira2781 hi Vanessa, I use regular butter not margerine. Each stick of butter is 112 grams.
@@vanessagasparvieira2781 maybe butter in Portugal has a higher fat content? You can also try adding a little less butter.

I never understand the reason to rinse the eggplant as you are only adding moisture after you've worked so hard to remove the liquid by salting. I salt my eggplant for 30 minutes then pat the eggplant dry. Never have I rinsed it and my dishes are never too salty. I really enjoy your shows.

Alessandra: I made the cake today and the custard part came out great but the sponge cake did not come out that great. I followed your advice instructions as I followed you in your video. It was not too fluffy. What could have possibly have happened. Please advise.

I’m salivating here! So easy to make and I’m sooo glad you’re using Mutti products! I found them from another channel and have had to scour the markets to find them. We need more of this product. Great tomatoes whether whole, crushed, puréed or pasata. No acidity, no sweetness, no bitterness, just right to flavor it your own way! 4stars!! Some stores price them too high but I find them in Ocean State stores for a great price. ❤❤❤❤

Definitely making this! Are you using a low moisture whole milk mozzarella or fresh and if using fresh do you drain some of the liquid out first? Looks delicious!
Thank you so much. I like a fresh mozzarella but keep it in the fridge overnight to dry up a little. Costco also sells a great mozzarella that i find amazing to cook with. It's a 1 Lb ball for about $4.50. Hope you find it.
