  Thank you so much !!!! You saved my printer. The tutorials are absolutely perfect. I received the kit and the key rapidly and followed the tutorials and my printer works ! I hate my Epson printer because there is always something going wrong. I used to buy non Epson cartridges but it suddenly stopped taking them because as soon as I installed them they would show empty, so, I just bought 4 brand new Epson ink cartridges (the 3 colours + photo black, because the silly printer won’t print plain black without all the other cartridges that I don’t use but still empties them with time) and as soon as I installed them, it told me the waste was full, and I was so frustrated !!!

  The more detail you can provide about your computer operation system, anti-virus, how connected to printer, the error(s)/symptoms in full, etc… the better I can figure out what’s happening and how to get round it.

  My printer is trowing ink in some corners of the paper. Ive done all the mainteinance options and it keeps doin it. How can i solve that?

  Given that you likely just changed the pads too it’s likely some ink has leaked from the carts, particularly if you turned the printer on its side or back. It should subside with time but you may want to mop up any excess in the capping station (area the printhead rests on).

  Just checked the WICReset "Supported models" tab and the L3210 is on there so you shouldn't have any problems using the app to reset the waste ink counter on that model printer.

  Thanks for this video... Once the print head is cleaned what to do with the ink cartidges that have been sitting in the printer unused for the past two years. Will they still work with a clean head; can I clean out the opening or are they toast? Thanks,

  Glad it helped. As for the old carts. Best to toss them and start fresh. 2 years for the dye inks (the CLI type) will likely have encouraged biological growth inside while the pigment PGI ink will likely have clumped. Best to move on..

  They're marketed as a similar ink quality to our own, as are InkOwl so those are options if you're based in North America.

  I bought the kit and fitted to my canon G5050 and it works successfully till now. I hav now error code C000, can I fix it with weicreset software? What would have caused this error. Any idea?

  Not come across that error myself but a quick google indicates one of the printheads may not be seated properly and/or some paper fragments may be blocking things up internally.

  No. Unfortunately not. The maintenance box chip needs a specific resetter that’s not compatible with the cartridge chips.

  The waste counter is a value in the printer memory so you need to reset using an app like WICReset. It doesn’t auto-reset with the pads changing. Wish it did though as that’d make our lives a lot easier.

  I know this is a very old video but just hoping you still might be able to help! I've just replaced the ink pads as you have in this video but when I turn the printer on it says "The ink pad needs service, contact Epson" wirh error code E-11 is there any way to get rid of this!!

  New printers have to be primed initially with the cartridges that come with it. So install your setup/starter cartridges first, then reinstall the refillable set once the setup cartridges have been part or fully used up.

  If you mean a way to clear the waste pad error message then yes. You need to search this channel for the following keyword: “WICReset”.   My Epson XP-445 announced on its display screen that the "Printer Ink Pad is at the end of its life. Please contact Epson support." I did that but what came up on the support screen looked very complicated, so I watched this video instead. As a result, I ordered a replacement ink pad identical to the one shown in the video. I followed the instructions, took out the old pad, and the replacement clicked exactly into place, just as it did in the video. However, when I put the printer back in its usual place, reconnected the leads to the power supply and computer and turned it on, the same identical message came up again, telling me that the "pad is at the end of its life." I've no idea what I did wrong, as the video above explained everything in detail and I followed the instructions closely. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, what is the problem and the solution?

  There is no software reset for the TM C3400. You need a hardware chip resetter to reset the chip on the cartridge as the waste pad is in the bottom of the ink cartridge itself so resetting the ink resets the waste counter too.

  Resetting over wifi is currently not working due to a driver/os change. You need to use a USB cable to reset. You may also need the driver from the Epson support website.

  No, you'd need a separate resetter for the cartridges. Worth noting that the North American versions of the XP-15000 may not have compatible resetters available due to the difference in IP (Intellectual Property) laws there and trade restrictions on some Epson related products. I do know that there's a version for the EU version of the XP-15000 cartridges (378/478 chips).

  I have rarely seen such a clear video and as a result I was able to replace my ink pad with a new one very easily. Now just to reset the counter and I can print again with my Epson XP-640. Your solution is very good for the environment, after all it is a waste to replace a good printer with a new one. Thank you very much!

  Thank you for your reply. Also I purchased a key from ink chip and the download does not seem to recognize my printer so I can copy and paste the key. I am connected to usb and tried on different computers. Would you know why this is happening and what to do?? Do I need to use the key or just change the ink pads?? Thanks in advance. 😊

  Ah. Inkchip has a different app called “WIC” which is not the same as the “WICReset” app. You need the app from the inkchip site to reset your printer. If the WIC app isn’t recognising your app you might want to request a refund and purchase a WICReset key instead. And yes changing the pads on their own isn’t enough. You do need to reset the waste counter as well to clear the error

  The ET2750 is covered by videos for fitting the pads if you do a search on this channel. As for resetting you need to use the WICReset app with a key to clear the printers waste ink counter. We have multiple videos on this channel covering different computer operating systems if you search for “WICReset”. Just to be clear you can’t reset via the printers control panel.

  Best guess at this point, the G4000 specifically has a different way to get into service mode. You could try this approach instead: - Power off - Press and hold "cancel" button - Press and hold "power" button - Release "cancel" button, then press & release "cancel" button a further 5 times _(the power/error LED lights should light up alternating with each other)_ - Now release the "power" button. The Power LED light should be blinking. Wait until this LED stops blinking and gives a solid light and you should be in service mode. _Just as a side note: I've tried to locate a G4000 here in the UK but can't find one to test and research on further._

  Managed to replace the pads. Problem is the screen does not recognise the status change and will not go past "Ink pad is past end of life - contact Epson". How might I reset this ?? (before the printer goes in the bin)

  Replacing the pads is part one of the process. You do still need to reset the waste ink counters to clear the waste ink pad error which you can do using the WICReset app (with a key code).   I have a 4700 epson printer that I made a sub printer. I bought a replacement sponge pack for this printer. looks like the same process. I have not used it yet. I see there are reset keys you can use too. so not sure when I should use the reset key or finally just replace the ink pack kit. Can you suggest?

  Had to check this properly and assuming you mean the ET-4700 (not the WF Pro-4700) then the process is effectively the same as the one shown in this video, and uses the same pads and reset key as well. To clarify on the way you tackle waste ink though. The pads are needed to deal with the physical waste ink while the reset app (and key) reset the waste ink counter which clears the waste pad error. Short version, you should do both.

  I’m curious if you had to rest the print counter? I had an older Epson X411 I believe. I did the ink pad swap and the printer still read that the ink tray was full. I had to download some firmware to the printer and roll back the print counter. Did you experience the same thing?

  It’s a known issue with WIFI at present. To get round it you need to use a USB cable connection to complete the reset.
