Happy to have found the channel and the series again! I been looking at all my streaming sites over here in DK, and getting frustrated. So, I went to KZread today, hoping for maybe a few short cuts of episodes, to find a whole channel is a dream! My wanted to be an architect, but due to a language barrier as an immigrant to DK, and rules, it was not a possible study for me.

Panelized houses have been around quite some time. Super insulated and both energy efficient and quiet.

How can I find the episode about the architect who built his shack a shed in the backyard to shed with his car in it?

Lift the load on an angle. Rigging 101.

🙄 No, you just pull the membrane, let the plywood dry out, then put on new membrane 🤔🤨 Wasted time, money and material...

Very innovative building system. I don’t think those stair treads would pass code in NA, especially when I saw the amount of flex when Kevin walked up! ,

There are 3 floors but no 3rd floor - why is British English so absurd???

The Australian method. Buy the block, build your own home. Very rarely in Australia are entire estates built with cookie cutter houses by the same developer. I love the fact every house on my street has it's own identity. Some houses have all the bells and whistles and some are designed more modestly.

I may never build my own house, but I truly understand the heartache and stress that one has to go through to achieve something AMAZING. Kevin keeps us hopeful.

I hate the way the houses are so close together.

My only question is how cost effective is this building method ? Cost was not mentioned at all during this episode …

The beams are a real weak point. They're most likely to cause all manner of grief as time takes a toll. OSB I-Beams or even more sophisticated strand beams are the answer. More expensive, but far cheaper in terms of labour saving and ultimate strength and stability.

Still managing to keep the title of The Unfinished Streets ?? Great to see Father & Son working and Enjoying life together 👍👍 Love the Basement Workshop. But, I would be a little concerned with decent ventilation while working in there ??? I might stick with my ground level shop. Hopefully I can see the house finished in later episodes ?
