    We've just landed in Riga. We used Bolt, for the first time, and it cost us 14.70 to the old town from the airport. The first driver we talked to at the Bolt drop off point, who was supposed to pick us up, cancelled the Bolt booking. He then started haggling with us trying to push the price up to 20 euro. So we booked a different driver through Bolt.

    I would love to visit Slovenia someday. What a gorgeous area and beautiful capital. Mmm fried chicken thighs look so cool and the onion shells! Yum! The botanical gardens look lovely. Love seeing the bee house. The cream cake looks fun to try. Beautiful views from the castle! Fantastic video as always! 😊

    Thanks for the video! My girlfriend and I are currently living in Rincón de la Victoria (Málaga) where there are many people over 60. We are 28 y/o, can you let us know how if there are many expats our age living in Alicante? We are looking to move either to Torremolinos, Benalmádena or Alicante. We were considering Fuengirola as an option but after watching this video we realized it's not the best choice :)

    Thanks for watching. The Costa del Sol is full of older North American, UK and northern European expats. The Alicante area has a younger feel to it, a better mix of ages, definitely more people in their 40s along the Costa Blanca.

    What a great tour of Ljubljana; one of my biggest misses and regrets from back when I was living in Yugoslavia. I was there for just a day to attend a Europe Film Schools Film Festival; and never got to go back and explore it more. Thanks for sharing; looking forward to see more videos from you… and oh BTW, your choice of music is phenomenal!🎉 Cheers!

    Just loving your love of our home. Confession time ... I've never been to Two Boys. I will be making the trip next payday, for sure! Feeling poorly, and really enjoying your channel. New sub, and looking forward to your vids of Spain and that region. Retiring to Portugal was a dream; not gonna happen, but that's all right. Will see it through your (very positive) eyes. Thanks, man. x

    That's the Johnson Building on Spring Garden (beginning of the vid), and Zellers on Barrington became the Met (Metropolitan). The Paramount had a single screen, but made into a multiplex of 3 in the 70s. Behind the Old Town Clock in the 70s, that's the Chronicle Herald Building pre-Metro Centre. Great vid, thanks!

    Hello my good friend i really enjoy watching your channel . I'm also Canadian living in Ottawa for for 35 years and planing to move to Spain , but for me its really simple as I am a dual citizen holding Canadian and European Union Passport so I can get resident in one day while in Spain.I'm also planning for Alicante coast . I was in Benidorm in March and I really enjoyed . Can you please comment on you final exit tax from Canada I did some research and not really sure when you would file for final exit tax in Canada. . Also if you sell your home (Primary residence) if this type of assets its taxable in Spain ? as far as I'm concern you have two years from time of sell in Canada to time of bying in Spain after reviewing some videos on KZread . after that tis type of income can be classified as capital gain .Also what do you need to file being a tax resident in Spain . . Can you clarify some in regards to that I'm on the Facebook as well if you like to send a private message. Best Regards hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi, thanks for watching, glad you are enjoying the videos. I never paid a departure tax as I still have some business in Canada. I have just filed my first Spanish tax return, I'm very glad for the tax treaty that Canada has with Spain. Any property sold in any country before 1 July of the current year will be taxed by Spain as income. To file your taxes in Spain you will need your NIE and a Spanish bank account, along with your proof of income T4, T4A etc and your Canadian tax return or notice of assessment. Here is my email if you have any more questions/comments [email protected]

    @@TheEmptyMiddleSeatTravel Hello thanks for some clarifications especially in regards to sell dates of the Primary Residence that is really important . I definitely send you an email and some info that I might have might be an interest to you as well . Keep doing a good job I was in Spain in March in Malaga , Alicante , Valencia , Benidorm , I absolutely love the city of Benidorm .

  • @user-gp6qx1zu8j
    @user-gp6qx1zu8j4 күн бұрын

    Hello so how about the Primary residence . If I sell a primary residence in Canada that would be tax free as Primary Residence its not Capital Gains in Canada . Same rule should apply in Spain . If I sell the primary residence in Canada this should not be classified as an income according to a Tax agreements between two countries. As far as im concern if I sell in the early year and move to Spain in the end of the year I would not be a tax resident in this year (same year) so I would be feeling taxes next year . The capital gain tax would apply in Spain only if I sell in the early year and move to Spain right after and be in Spain for over 183 days so in this scenario I would be tax resident in the same year than next year I would be feeling world wide income in Spain correct?? . Parentally you have two yers to use money from selling you home in Canada as primary residence and buy as primary residence in Spain that way you will avoid taxes in Spain for selling primary residence in Canada. Sound complicated right but that's what I found doing a research about selling in Canada and bying in Spain . From your point of view when is the best time to buy in Spain ???
