    Can be possible on moon in future but on Earth, it will not work. Btw they are still using 3nd /2nd stage rocket in it . Which doesn't make any sense.

    I think we can use magnetic rail gun instead of spining the mass. Magnetic rail gun can accelerate projectiles upto 7 mach currently. By using superconducting magnet and taking care of vaccum it will be more efficient and we have less vibration to manage and also counter weight will not be required during ejection.

    So, we accelerate a satellite to mach 7, in the densest part of the atmosphere? Don't you think aerodynamic heating might be just a bit of a problem? Also, the payload would need to be light enough to accelerate to mach 7, durable enough to survive 1000's of g's of acceleration, and launched with sufficient precision to guarantee entry into the proper orbit. Yeah, not going to happen.
