#ISRO started its #INSAT program in 1982, INSAT 1 series were manufactured with the help of FORD Aerospace. ISRO saw a lot of hiccups in the initial days of INSAT with satellites not completing its tenure in the orbit, satellites getting damaged in facilities, already in-orbit satellite of some other agency replacing ISRO's INSAT satellites and what not.
In terms of Launch services, we were totally dependent on other agencies for the launch of 70-80% of our INSAT missions.
With the advent of GSLV, ISRO started launching indigenously developed satellites on our own launch vehicles.

08:19 Dates for INSAT 2A and 2B have typing error. INSAT 2A was launched in year 1992 and INSAT 2B was launched in year 1993

Sir , Namaste🙏 I am Rachana, a student of class 9 from Odisha. Recently, I won in a national level painting competition conducted by BEE , for which as prize all the winners have got an opportunity to visit ISRO, the URSC branch and LPSC branch. It was really a dream come true moment for me...I am really proud of all the ISRO scientists who were dedicated in there work in different rooms and were so much focused with each details. We got to know about all the upcoming projects of ISRO. I am really grateful to be the only one among the winners to get a chance to have a photo with the Director of BEE and Deputy Chairman of LPSC . This was only possible because of many of my doubts about space and astronomy about which I have researched till date. Thanks a lot Sir for always giving us more information and knowledge on the field of astronomy...🙏

Good information but some are factually incorrect. Insat 2A was in 1992, 2B in 1993. I was deeply involved in 2A,2B, 2E, 3A, 3D & 3DR. Also Kalpana. Participated in the Arian launch campaign at Kourou for 4 launches.
