If I remember correctly,I bought this bearing at a flea market for one dollar. And eye ball it if it would fit the handle. thickness is important ,I didn't want to drill the metal tang in the middle of the molded handle.

It was intended to be a safety issue, not to maneuver to much with big things inside a glass greenhouse. With this shelf ,I don't need to get it out,it's actually a extra frame to tie plants on when in the upright position.

Nice. I plan one day to do something like that with a pair of 5.11 tactical/cargo pants, using the strap on the right rear as a belt loop, and the front button as a snap, with a pant leg as the pouch to make a dump bag, that can double as a Millbank bag to prefilter water.

Thank you for your kind words Wendi, Every time I make such things I am thinking and over thinking some angels to get to the actual build. Some kind of challenge yourself with it,if it's possible and what kind of troubles you have to overcome while building. Need to be practical as well ,many carry a extra tin,but with this approach you can double your carried items with you. And not to bulky that you don't bother to carry it with you. Hopefully you never need them of course, also fun weekend to make . How is everything ,did you had some snow yet?

The color is the tannins that you extracting, the goal is to get rid of them without short cuts. Otherwise it would be a shame of the work you put into. The only way to speed up the process,is by boiling them. That way you could use them in a few hour's,I suggest by boiling them a couple of times. Every time dumping the water and boil again in clear water. Good luck

What a wonderful nighttime cook-up using a most impressive pot and what looks like one of those fold- up, slot-together rocket stoves. Out in deep country is where I find peace for my soul, though in milder weather, hopefully beneath a silvery veil of stars. Above hung a buttery moon that looked like it had exploded and spilled its light across the inky sky - stars sprinkled the dark canvas like diamonds, the cloudy Milky Way gleaming among them. Solitary camping is when I find solace. One week my twin sister and I camped out for few nights in the Nevada Desert; above, the universe had flung its arms open to us. It was majestic, and it made me feel small in the best possible way. "There is always light," my sister said quietly. "The stars are always shining, even if we can't see them." Close your Eyes And Dream a Dream and seek the Courage To make it Real. . . Reflect on The Past Envision The Future and Embrace Today with an Open Heart and Soul. Steve, thank you for bringing to remembrance our precious times out bush crafting. Thank you for making this video. God bless, Wendi. 🌻

I was moved by your reply, I'm so glad you have those memories, they are more precious than all the wealth in the world. It's so rare that only two people have that experience ,that's you and your twin sister. The way you describe those surroundings,is the way I feel when I'm looking at the sky, with a cracking fire in front of me. Just beautiful. That cookpot came in my possession by a online auction for helping out disabled veterans and veterans with psychological problems or other issues. The auction was done by a small but genuine groups to raise some money to help them out. I rather help out the smaller companies or the people in my area then the big companies or NGO's. Thank you dear Wendi,God bless you and your sister,do you see your twin sister regularly? I hope your weekend is going well. Steve

How cleverly thought out; it must have taken some planning! I have pieces of leather one of my daughters generously gave, so maybe I could stitch an example of your dump pouch using the awl and small chisel on my pocket knife, and sew using waxed linen thread? Due to recent illness lately I have more time at home. ...Now winter is upon us, I really want to make one. All your videos are most inspiring, and uplifting. Love, peace and blessing ~Wendi 🌻

  • @sosteve9113

Good to hear your back Wendi, I am no expert in sewing by any means. Took the machine one day and start using it till I knew how I get a tread into it and how to put the thread into a piece of cloth , without the pieces falling apart . With a cut up t-shirt all kind I made various pouches and stitchings even silly one like a pouch for my scissor, totally useless. But this video was a little up cycle project, perfect for the weekend. I am sure it will work perfectly by hand, the leather that I used was pretty thick ,6mm ,this works better with a thinner piece. Would be to thick to sew it by hand I guess. Winter is indeed coming,I need to pick the pumpkins and bring them inside before they get some frost. Sorry to hear about your recent illness, how are you doing ? Sending you much strength. Steve
