I have a 2006 Pontiac G5 Pursuit 2 door coupe bought brand new. Competition yellow paint. The car has sat outside for 18 years and the paint still looks brand new with no fade visible to the naked eye at all. It's amazing and looks so sharp when the sun roof is propped open and the 228 watt factory installed Pioneer stereo system is blasting and has a subwoofer in the trunk and a black antenna on the rear quarter panel. It kind of reminds me of a kid's race car.on an electric track. As with all G5s and Cobalts I pass this age they all have rusted rocker panels as mine does too. I enjoyed your video very much but I'm not handy at all to do the job you did myself. Do you have any ball park figure of what a body shop would charge that you've done for a family member for free? I want to keep her as long as possible as she runs like a Swiss watch and the Ecotech engine only has 120,000 miles. Thanks for the great video and has inspired me to get my rockers done.

After removing the bad alternator I was dumbstruck when the new one was not charging. I put a test light on the Alt fuse, and it lit up. Several techs then advised me I had probably messed up the PCM. After running your test on the alt plug, I confirmed the computer was working. I was then really down, as then the tech at the online computer supplier told me it was probably the module on the engine block, and they are 1,520.00. After that news, I ran your test one more time, (same results). and as a last resort, I decided to put my Multimeter on the 140A. alternator fuse. It was slowly losing voltage and finally went dead. Got a new fuse for 5 bucks, and now truck is running perfect. I was 5 min away from taking the truck to a garage to replace the ECM. Then lowered the machine to line up the rear cross shaft , then engaged the springs . First major work I did on a Polaris in over 45 years . Not as easy as it used to be .
