  I love the sisters of Mercy. One of the best things growing up and my mom always said it was “morbid “ my mom grew up with hippie music and if you want to hear morbid, Peter Paul and Mary. Killing Swans alas Peter Vaughn. That shit made me depressed. Polly Vaughn . That’s depressing. Sisters brought vibrancy and industrial energy

  I like the song a lot, but it runs out of steam. Literally one more verse between chorus repetitions and it would have been great. I mean how many times can you repeat that chorus? That has to be the most repetitions of a chorus I've ever heard on the song. And it's a lovely chorus until it outstays its welcome. Something Fast, for me, is a great three-minute song that was eked out to 4.40, presumably to get the album to an acceptable duration, and it's spoiled as a result. It's frustrating, because I love the song and the way the music changes in the background as the chorus repeats. As I say, just one more verse and it would have nailed it. Vision Thing's a strange album: I love a lot of it - More, which I used to like a great deal actually dates it worse than any of the other tracks - but it feels like it was released when it was not quite finished. It needed one more song and a bit more work on the other tracks. It's why Floodland remains my favourite album - it's more cohesive and just sounds better produced. I still play it lots though.

  First time i seen type o was at early ozzfests . Then i think 2002 but could have been 2003 at house of blues chicago. I remember being so excited. They played like 5 songs and had technical difficulties with the PA or something. Peter apologized for the show being cut short. What a bummer that was.

  My father has loved this band with his heart for so long, and he was the one to introduce me to such an amazing band. I will never be able to repay him for showing me such an artistic masterpiece of music. Rest in peace, Peter Steele.
