    Increasing the search radius, in our situation, helped the insurance company find cheaper cars. Which did us no good because we didn’t want to drive far away to find the cheapest deal. The insurance company doesn’t cover your gas or a babysitter.

    Would love a video describing how to manage submissions. Sadly, our family has had a significant amount of submissions lately and unless I'm missing something, it makes things tedious. I can't easily tell which bills I have previously submitted and I also can't tell if they have been approved or not. Any suggestions?

    Hey thanks for watching. This is a great idea. I've been managing bills for an ankle injury & surgery my husband had earlier this year as well as my pregnancy & birth of our son a few months ago. I will create a video on how I'm managing all the bills for these things. Thanks! I'll post the link to it here when it's up.

    Food services such as Door Dash and Grub Hub was costing my wife and I hundreds. We dont have kids and neither one of us are good cookers. However for one delivery we were paying as much as $50 a night. We cut that quick. Although we still use it once a month on special occasions. We decided to cut it out by having an individual grocery budget. Buying our own individual food to make our own individual meals that way we weren't obligated to eat what we didn't like and cater to our own specific tastes.

    Hi! Thank you for sharing ❤ I have some questions, hope you could help me to give the answers: 1. If I am not a Christian, but I don't drink nor smoking, can I join this program? 2. Does the premium increase every year?

  • @AgapeInvesting
    @AgapeInvestingАй бұрын

    Hey! Thanks for watching and for your questions. Here are the requirements that CHM lists in their guidelines as far as being a Christian goes - To be a CHM member and to have medical bills shared with other members, participants must a. live a Christian lifestyle consistent with CHM’s Statements of Beliefs, b. attend worship regularly as health permits [Hebrews 10:25], -and- c. actively follow the teachings of the New Testament in its entirety.* Here is what they mean by follow the teachings: *CHM members must abstain from the following activity: use of any tobacco, nicotine, smoking device, or substitutionary smoking device, including, but not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, pipes, herbal cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vape pens; illegal use of drugs; and sexual immorality (as defined in the Scriptures and expressed in CHM's Statements of Beliefs). Additionally, members must follow biblical principles with respect to the use of alcohol. The monthly share amount (similar to a premium) has increased slightly the last couple of years. It really depends on inflation and the current cost of medical expenses.

    Hey Kaz, the personal responsibility that you pay is annual. It is basically the same thing as a deductible. However, the minimum amount for an illness or incident to qualify for sharing is per incident. What kind of plan other than chm if you also need preventive cares

  • @AgapeInvesting
    @AgapeInvestingАй бұрын

    Hi there, thanks for watching. If I understand your question - you are asking what I would recommend for preventative care. We use a direct primary care provider for our kiddo since he has lots of doctor's appointments. This means we pay a low monthly cost, only $55, to his PCP and we can bring him in as often as we want and can text/call in at any time with questions. I highly recommend a direct primary care provider if you are someone who frequents the doctor.

    My son's wife just got her truck totalled. It's ashame the victim has to take all the extra costs and inconvenience. To cut down on accidents and have more responsible drivers, insurance companies and police in case of uninsured (against the law) should hold the one at fault pay more. My daughter-in-law got 22000 for her truck which was bought 4 years ago for over 30000. Just got tires and rustproofing with the intent to keep. What should be done is the insurance company gives you the depreciated value. Make the one at fault pay the difference for a new one. So if paid 30000 and insurance gives you 22000 the the one at fault pays 8000. Have the law take a percentage out like child support. It will be like the faulty one paying child support and if missing a payment goes on their credit record

    Hello. Thank you for sharing. I am examining the possibility of signing up for CHM, but I have 4 pre-existing conditions, one of which is sleep apnea. I'm also taking 7 different medications to treat those conditions. Do you cover claims for medical equipment related to sleep apnea? Do you cover any medications related to pre-existing conditions? Mine can be expensive. If CHM does not, are there other health share organizations that will? It seems like there are at least 10 different ones when I search on the Internet, and they all go about sharing in a different way. Any advice you can give me would be helpful.

    What about a pre-existing condition, especially diabetes?

  • @AgapeInvesting
    @AgapeInvesting2 ай бұрын

    CHM considers a condition no longer pre-existing if you have experienced one year without signs, symptoms, or treatment (including no maintenance medication) for that condition and your official medical records document it. In contrast, cancer is no longer pre-existing if, after your doctor has pronounced you cancer-free, you have gone five years without any signs, symptoms, testing, or treatment (other than routine, follow-up appointments) When a member joins CHM with a maintained pre-existing condition*, medical bills for that condition exceeding $125,000 per illness can be shared through the Prayer Page. Diabetes specifically is on a non-exhaustive list of pre-existing conditions that may be eligible for sharing.

    The frustrating thing about a program like chm is that we are having to figure out how to make some kind of payment to all of the providers involved in my wife's surgery for several months before we will get a check from chm

  • @AgapeInvesting

    Hey Matt, you are right. That can be very stressful and frustrating at times. One of the things I typically recommend for families looking into CHM is to make sure to have a well stocked emergency fund for instances like that. Thankfully too, if you contact your medical providers financial offices, you should be able to set up interest free payments as you are waiting on the CHM check.

    Thank you for sharing! I will definitely be sure to not replace glorifying myself with the POINT which is to glorify God with all I do! I’m going through this course right now (so I don’t have a fully formed opinion on it) but I appreciate that you’re sharing this and your with concerns about spiritual health instead of worldly prosperity. I will be on guard. I think knowing for ourself the full context of what the Word says is of utmost importance whenever we are interacting with anybody who is using the word (in any way). Definitely, valid criticism. I appreciate you my Christian sister! ❤

We are overwhelmed by the submission process and are hoping to find a service to pay to file everything properly on our behalf. Hi Jonathan, I'm glad you found the video helpful. I am sorry to hear about your daughter being in the ICU. I hope and pray she is doing alright now. I am not aware of any services that take care of the filing for you. Did you already get the process started while your wife was pregnant? It likely started when you received a global fee from the hospital, birth center, or midwife when you first started receiving services. I would probably recommend calling the CHM maternity line to see how they might be able to help you. If you don't have anything yet to track all of your medical bills, check out my free bill tracker that we use. As a matter of fact, members within your shared community have been turned away from being admitted to a well-known hospital because they were not a part of the PPO. Most positive comments are those that have nor experienced a hospital say rathe a much less expensive cost fron a Dr visit. I STRESS TO ALL IS TO CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE. They told me if I needed an antibiotic, I could get the free checkup and get my antibiotic prescription that way without having to go to an in-person doctor visit.

    How do you do preventive care? I know CHM doesn't cover it. I was wondering how you handle those annual checkups.

  • @AgapeInvesting
    @AgapeInvesting4 ай бұрын

    I plan for preventative care in my budget. So my dental appointments, vision exams, and annual doctor's checkups we just budget for each year. It ends up being much cheaper this way instead of paying for them through insurance. Alternatively, we have a baby on the way, and kids go into the doctor much more often. What we are doing for him is getting him signed up for a Direct Primary Care provider. DPCs act like a doctor membership. You pay a monthly fee and all their services are included and unlimited. If you go to the doctor often for wellness checks and sick visits, a DPC option might be good for you because then the monthly cost is predictable. If you have blood drawn at another office and they send the bloodwork to Quest to process Quest will send you a bill directly. But yes, if you go directly to a Quest office then they would have you pay right then =]
