Everybody reviewing these lawn tractors leaves out one important factor, the year of the model. Every few years the engine and many of the features change, sometimes dramatically change. Thus, maybe a 2015 Bronco has a lot of drawbacks that 2009 Bronco didn't have. Maybe a brand new 2023 Bronco has added features over a 2018 model, or the controls are moved around. From one year model to the next in the same model name could be as different as a John Deere to an MTD both of the same year model.

I'll warn you they don't give any specific instructions for treating ant with this product. From what I can gather this is designed to prevent bugs from wanting to live in your yard thus keeping them out of the house. It states to spread the entire yard staying 3' away from the house and sidewalks etc. Good for 3 months. I have treated fire ant beds with it by sprinkling a cup of it over the mound and area around it them poured water over the mound. The ants usually are gone but they are moving. I don't think it's killing the queen. I found some stuff 15 years ago. It was a big name brand possibly amdro. It was in a bright orange bag. Made for fire ants. Stated it would kill the mound and queen in 12 hours I think. I spread it over a massive mound poured water and went to the next mound. 15 mins later I walked past and there was nothing but a field of dead ants. I don't mean slowly crawling away for safety I mean laying on their backs getting last rights from a praying mantis dead.

Also, and this applies to all mowers... Sharpen your effing blades! I don't know how many times I've seen somebody complain about poor cut quality or bogging in tall grass only to flip the mower and find out the back edge of the blade was actually sharper than the front edge.

Thanks for the review. There were not any ryobi videos on KZread regarding their use commercially and your video is the only one that showed up on a search for "ryobi commercial use" . There is a trend im noticing. It's related with the ridiculous expensive increase in echo and stihl tools. I am now seeing ryobis, homelites and toro more and more. In my area landscapers are picking these up, restoring and using commercially. I hope in your next video you can pick up a 2 cycle ryobi and test it out commercially. There are some upgrades that can be done to homelites, Toro and ryobi and that is namely upgraded ngk iridium spark plug, red armor mixing oil, and a speed feed 400 universal trimming head.( which) I think you did already. That makes these run phenomenal. Thank you for the great data analysis and video.

Oh and I've got two pony's I rob this one for that one everytime I go to mow I'm finally done with the one that has steering column issues I'm completely breaking it down for parts.

I bought the ExMark 30 Commercial the first year of it's release, 2013 maybe, and put on an hour meter. The mower was so fast and strong when new but slow and slippery ever since. I've had to replace a transmission after about every 110 hours of use. The first one or two were covered under warranty. The first trans was the best and every trans since has slipped much more and tightening didn't help as it was as tight as possible. They said they made improvements but all the trans have slipped more. The part number did change. I asked my dealer and he said they lightened the clutch to make it last longer but, I said like a automotive clutch, if you let it slip more, it wears faster so I call B.S. on Toro/ExMark. I tightened the cable so much to make it better it eventually snapped. I retired my mower to personal use after maybe 500 hours. Since new, I've spent at least $2000 on pulleys, spindles, bearings, transmissions, belts, cables, etc. It hasn't made a nice cut the last half of the use (250hrs+). Only the Kawasaki engine has been perfect, otherwise it's a lemon!! Avoid it at all cost! I wish I could sue! Later, I bought the Toro Hydro 21 Aerator brand new, from a different dealer. On every job after about 20mins the aerator slowed down to maybe 1mph. The dealer and rep said they didn't have a clue and because it cooled down by the time they would look at it they did not believe me. I showed a video and they said, huh, we don't know. Fluids were all new and full, and I used Premium Ethanol-free. I fought it for a while and sold it.

Okay not really important since it’s been like 4 years, but that’s not a voltage regulator, it’s a wattage regulator. The bulbs are always 120 volts. It’s meant so someone doesn’t stick higher wattage bulbs and start a fire. Just a small thing I thought I’d mention.

I'm seriously considering the Timemaster to add it to my little lawn business. I've been using the trusty 21" Hondas for years now but I think I need one larger mower for few of those clients that are in between. To large for a 21" push mower but way way to small for a zero turn. I know Timemaster isn't a commercial lawn but given that I'll be putting 7-8 hours on it weekly, I'm sure it will do just fine... Timemaster's commercial brothers - the Turfmaster and this Exmark 30" commercial here are way out of my pay grade and I can't justify spending near 2 grand for one of those when Timemaster will be more than adequate to tackle these jobs. What is your opinion? Should I get a Turfamster or stick with a Honda. I'd like to add that my Hondas were, and still are, freaking unbelievable. I also have the semi commercial HRX models with the plastic deck and a brake clutch, Honda calls it Roto stop. These plastics decks are unbelievable. Light, indestructible and the clippings don't stick to it, even when the grass is all wet. When you add those GCV 200 Honda engines to the mix, I guarantee you won't get clogged. And I usually cut tall and wet grass since most of my clients are on a monthly plan so mulching is out of the question... A lot of bagging and discharging.... Thnx

Me to this my second year I had to get one just keep this in mind I only use it on manicured yards that get cut every week I only use it if it’s under 4 inches and dry no exception and my Honda for tall grass over 4 inches that way you keep stress off of it! But it cuts the fuck outta time and keep it clean because if you run it in tall and wet grass and dirt you start having belts issue sooner then normal less stress last longer it not commercial but close enough so don’t second guess yourself get it!
